Welcome to your weekly roundup of what’s new on Netflix, and frankly, we’re going to need a bigger bucket of popcorn. It is a massive week for new releases, with over 50 new movies and TV series touching down on the US service over the last seven days. From the complete 007 archives to new Netflix Original dramas, here is everything you need to know about the new arrivals for the week ending January 23rd, 2026.
With January now coming to a close, you’ll want to start familiarizing yourself with the upcoming releases scheduled for February 2026. Lots to look forward to, including some new movies that just got announced, including the SVOD debut of East of Wall.
What to Watch on Netflix This Weekend
James Bond Collection

Shaken. Not stirred. In an unlikely big licensing pact with Amazon’s MGM, the entire James Bond collection has dropped on Netflix, with many being re-added for the first time in six years and a few appearing for the first time ever.
Now there are a bunch of ways to watch the movies (you can try the entire release order strategy here if you want a challenge), but most will watch the latest Daniel Craig movies in order, given they represent a complete arc of sorts.
Personally, my favorites are: No Time To Die, Skyfall, Casino Royale, The World is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies, Goldfinger, and Dr. No.
Looking at the global top 10s, which Bond movies have been performing best so far, and the ones you’re watching most? Perhaps obviously, it’s all the Daniel Craig movies with No Time To Die up top, SPECTRE next, Quantum of Solace bizarrely next, then Casino Royale, and then Skyfall. While Dr. No featured in the global top 10s earlier this week, it’s now a no-show.
Sandokan (Season 1)
Number of episodes: 8
Rating: TV-MA
Language: English
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama
Cast: Can Yaman, Ed Westwick, John Hannah
Having aired just last month in Italy to rave reviews, it was an unexpected pickup for Netflix to get the 8-episode pirate thriller series, which features one of Turkey’s best-known talents, alongside a slew of acting greats from the UK. The official synopsis for the series reads, “Pirate captain Sandokan and his crew fight to protect the Dayak people from the clutches of the British Empire in 19th-century Southeast Asia.”
The good news, too, is that more is on the way: filming for season 2 is set to commence sometime between Spring and Summer this year.
Finding Her Edge (Season 1)
Number of episodes: 8
Rating: TV-PG
Language: English
Genre: Drama, Family, Romance
Cast: Nicole Volossetski, Millie Davis, Alexandra Beaton
The Winter Olympics are just around the corner, and Netflix has a slate of upcoming titles coming up to coincide and hopes to cash in on the additional eyeballs these sports will all be getting. One of the only scripted titles is a new teen drama series set in the world of competitive ice skating.
In our review, we concluded, “Finding Her Edge is a drama that’ll attract a lot of demographics, and it delivers a pleasing story to each of them. Whether that’s teenage drama, romance, and sibling rivalries, which will draw in fans of Heartstopper and slightly more adult-focused drama like Ginny & Georgia; or the young adult audience and fans of the novel; or indeed fans of figure skating. For viewers who were disappointed with the cancellation of the 2020 series Spinning Out, this will fill that void.”

Most Popular Movies on Netflix US This Week

THE RIP. (L to R) Steven Yeun as Detective Mike Ro and Sasha Calle as Desi in The Rip. Cr. Claire Folger/Netflix © 2025.
Topping the US charts all this week is The Rip (please read our excellent interview with the director, Joe Carnahan!), which should be no surprise given that it’s the big release of 2026 so far from Netflix’s slate. Surprisingly, in second spot is one of the Lifetime movies that Netflix has been picking up as of late, with Suitcase Killer clearly hitting like none of the others have, and the reason is simple: really good artwork, a fascinatingly told story, and controversial subject matter. People We Meet on Vacation rounds out the top 3.
- The Rip (70 points)
- Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story (66 points)
- People We Meet on Vacation (62 points)
- KPop Demon Hunters (42 points)
- An Unexpected Valentine (39 points)
- Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story (38 points)
- Bone Lake (29 points)
- The Royal We (20 points)
- Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart (18 points)
- No Time to Die (16 points)
- Spectre (11 points)
- The Bad Guys (7 points)
- One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 (7 points)
- Sisterhood, Inc. (4 points)
- A Big Bold Beautiful Journey (4 points)
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (3 points)
- Soul on Fire (3 points)
- Skyfall (1 point)

HIS & HERS continues to reign in the TV top 10s, with great word of mouth definitely playing a role in its dominance now in week 3. Otherwise, lots of movement towards the bottom of the charts, but 11.22.63 is surprisingly one of the biggest licensed titles to come from the new licensing pact with Warner Bros. Television.
