Grammys 2026: The best red carpet looks of the night | Canada Voices

1 February 20264 Mins Read

From Bad Bunny’s scroll-stopping swagger to Lady Gaga’s gothic elegance, this year’s Grammys red carpet felt more like a rock ’n’ roll cocktail party than a runway show.

A trifecta of shimmer, glitter and glimmer (even Joni Mitchell wore champagne sequins) contrasted with shades of Cloud Dancer, Pantone’s controversial Colour of the Year. Here are 10 of the night’s biggest style hits.

Sabrina Carpenter

Following her previous sequin-loving red carpet moments with the Bob Mackie archive, Sabrina Carpenter’s custom Valentino gown is a nod to both Hollywood and the legacy of the Italian house founded by the late designer. This on-trend ivory look, created by Alessandro Michele, features an abundance of intricate beading.

Audrey Nuna

As the wearer of the night’s most intellectual, structural and boundary-pushing look, KPop Demon Hunters singer Audrey Nuna opted for Thom Browne in homage to a childhood memory. When her grandfather immigrated to America in the 1970s, he worked in a garment manufacturing factory that produced clothing for Thom Browne. This Salvador Dalí-inspired ensemble is a tribute to her past.

Olivia Dean

Best New Artist nominee Olivia Dean brought elegance to the Grammys red carpet in a feathery, black-and-white Chanel ensemble. The look perfectly mirrored her effortlessly cool, crisp and sophisticated sound, capturing the essence of her latest album, The Art of Loving.

Joni Mitchell

Joni Mitchell’s red carpet look featured a sequin champagne, black and silver pantsuit accessorized with a gold paperboy hat, embroidered velvet handbag and black cane. But her most powerful accessory? An “ICE out” pin, worn in protest against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The 10-time Grammy winner is up for Best Historical Album for Joni Mitchell Archives – Vol. 4: The Asylum Years (1976–1980).

Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah walked the red carpet in a polished – and appropriately regal – Stéphane Rolland look accented with bold statement jewellery. Her next big project is the sequel to Girls Trip, which reunites Latifah with cast members Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Chappell Roan

Nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “The Subway,” Chappell Roan delivered a nearly-nude, Cher-inspired red carpet moment – meticulously styled by Genesis Webb – accented with nipple rings, sparking extensive online coverage. Her sheer, Shiraz-hued Mugler dress was amplified by her classic ’80s-meets-’90s makeup, fitting for MAC’s latest global brand ambassador.

Sombr

Singer-songwriter and producer Sombr dazzled on the red carpet in a custom Valentino mirror ball suit layered over a sheer shirt – a look that channels the flamboyant spirit of glam rock icons such as David Bowie and Marc Bolan.

Bad Bunny

Appearing on the red carpet in a corseted velvet suit a week before his Super Bowl performance, Bad Bunny’s Schiaparelli haute couture look is fit for the distinguished milestone he achieved with the first-ever Spanish-language album nominated for Album of the Year in 2023.

Lady Gaga

The singer transforms every red carpet moment into a fashion fever dream. Matching the gothic elegance of her album, Mayhem, her hip-hugging, Black Swan-inspired look (apparently inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “The Raven”) is designed by Montreal’s own Matières Fécales.

Miley Cyrus

The chic reign of designer Michael Rider, who took over Celine in 2025, has jumped across the pond from Paris to Hollywood courtesy of Miley Cyrus. The singer wore a leather jacket by the label featuring a giant, ornate brooch, giving the Grammys one of the coolest moments of the night.
