Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown Scheduled to Open in Early 2028

Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement for the Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown, a new-build property scheduled to open in early 2028.

Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement for the Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown, which is planned as a new-build hotel with an opening scheduled for early 2028. The hotel will feature 221 rooms, including four deluxe rooms and five suites. Amenities will include an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar with a terrace, two meeting rooms, and a gym.

The hotel will be located a seven-minute walk from the center of Queenstown, in a precinct that is adding new retail, a supermarket, and dining options. The site will offer views of Coronet Peak, surrounding mountain ranges, and Lake Wakatipu. The location is also set to benefit from plans to develop the adjoining recreation reserve into a community park. Coronet Peak’s ski lift is a fifteen-minute drive from the site.

The project’s developer is Redwood Group. The agreement for Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown follows the planned opening of Radisson RED Auckland. The hotel is 16 minutes from Queenstown Airport, which offers direct services to major east-coast Australian cities and domestic destinations.

Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown will include two meeting rooms designed for events and sessions, as well as a gym. The property will also feature a rooftop bar with a terrace.

The Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown is part of Radisson Hotel Group’s expansion in the region, following the upcoming opening in Auckland and recent developments in Australia and Fiji. The Group has additional signings and openings planned from 2026 to 2028 in Asia Pacific.
