Kitty Song Covey is packing her bags for one final year at KISS. Netflix has officially confirmed that the third season of the To All the Boys spinoff series, XO, Kitty, will return (slightly later than we anticipated) in April 2026.
It has been a minute since we checked in on the romantic entanglements of the Covey sisters, but the wait is officially almost over. Following a successful sophomore season that dropped in January 2025, Netflix has confirmed that Season 3 of XO, Kitty will premiere on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.
This release date lines up perfectly with our previous reporting here at What’s on Netflix, where we predicted a Q1-Q2 2026 launch window following the conclusion of filming late last year, although our intel did suggest a March release initially.
Alongside the date announcement, Netflix has provided a full synopsis, a confirmed cast list, and details about a behind-the-scenes shake-up.
That notable change in the creative team was first reported by Deadline and sees Valentina Garza (Jane the Virgin, Only Murders in the Building) taking the helm as Showrunner, Executive Producer, and Writer. As we noted in our September report, former showrunner Jessica O’Toole remains attached to the project as an Executive Producer, alongside series creator Jenny Han, Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment, and Bradley Gardner.
The season will consist of 8 brand-new episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long.
What is the plot of XO, Kitty Season 3?
We previously knew that Season 3 would feature the show’s “first summer episode” and lots of kissing, per former showrunner Jessica O’Toole, but we now have the full picture of what Kitty’s senior year looks like.
The official logline for the new season is as follows:
“Kitty Song Covey returns for her final year at KISS with her perfect senior year mapped out. She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans, and relationships, of course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.”
The synopsis confirms that the central tension will revolve around Kitty (Anna Cathcart) finally defining the relationship with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), a storyline fans have been clamoring for since the “enemies-to-lovers” trope kicked into high gear at the end of Season 2.
Who is in the cast for Season 3?
It looks like the whole gang is back for the final year at KISS, along with a significant list of recurring characters.
Anna Cathcart returns as the titular Kitty Song Covey. She is joined by series regulars:
- Minyeong Choi (Dae)
- Gia Kim (Yuri)
- Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho)
- Anthony Keyvan (Q)
- Regan Aliyah (Juliana)
Also confirmed for the Season 3 cast are Sule Thelwell (Marius), Hojo Shin (Jiwon), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice), Sunny Oh (Mihee), Soy Kim (Yisoo), and Christine Heesun Hwang (Gigi).
Episode Titles and Speculation
Back in September 2025, we exclusively revealed five of the episode titles for the upcoming season. Now that we have the synopsis, these titles make even more sense.
- Before Sunrise – Likely the “summer episode” or the immediate aftermath of the Season 2 cliffhanger, focusing on that “long night of conversation” between Kitty and Min Ho.
- Euniq – Hinting at a major arc for Eunice (Han Bi Ryu).
- Ride or Die – A test of loyalty, or perhaps a literal trip to a theme park (casting calls for a ticket checker surfaced last year).
- Seoul Sisters – With the synopsis mentioning Kitty growing closer to her “relatives in Korea,” this could refer to her bond with the Han family, or potentially a cameo from her actual sisters (Lara Jean, anyone?).
- Ships in the Night – A classic romance trope title that suggests near-misses and emotional turmoil.
