TMZ has reportedly received another note in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case. Just one day after Harvey Levin said that someone sent a note for 1 Bitcoin in exchange for the would-be kidnapper’s identity, another note has been sent.
“I am not being taken seriously,” the note reads, according to the outlet. TMZ said that the note, which was sent by email, included some “ominous statements” and noted that things have changed from Wednesday to Thursday. The outlet didn’t share any additional details about what that might mean.
TMZ has confirmed that this second note was sent from the same person. This time, however, the person shared why they’re requesting Bitcoin rather than going straight to the FBI with the tip.
Per TMZ, “He says he will need money to lay low after identifying the kidnapper for fear of retaliation.” The person who sent the email also said that he was worried about being incriminated.
The outlet said the person who sent the email warned that this will be the last attempt to help.
This story is developing.
