Luxury Hospitality Veteran With More Than 30 Years of Experience Joins Velas Resorts’ Meetings & Incentives Leadership Team
Velas Resorts, renowned for its award-winning collection of luxury properties in Mexico, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Berzofsky as Senior Regional Sales Director Southeast US, effective February 18, 2026. In this role, Berzofsky will lead the expansion of Velas Resorts’ presence across the Southeast United States, focusing on cultivating strategic partnerships within the meetings and incentives sector. Berzofsky brings more than three decades of distinguished experience in luxury hospitality sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, developing long-term client relationships and elevating brand presence in competitive markets.

Prior to joining Velas Resorts, Berzofsky served as Director of Sales for The Ocean Reef Club, one of Florida’s most exclusive private resort communities. He subsequently spent 15 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Marriott Luxury Brands, where he earned 11 consecutive Golden Circle Awards, the company’s highest sales honor. During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing a Business Development division within the Global Sales Team and helped elevate nearly 50 accounts to Key Account status.
In his new role, Berzofsky will report to Kunz and work closely with the global Meetings & Incentives sales team to develop high-value partnerships and deliver customized solutions that reflect Velas Resorts’ luxury standards.
