The last weekend of the month is here, Toronto! Can you believe February has already come and gone? While spring will be here soon, there’s still a tiny bit of winter left to soak in. Outdoor rinks, seasonal markets, and apres-themed parties await.

Here are 10 of the best things to do this weekend in the city.

Get your tickets for the Black Excellence Game night with the Toronto Marlies vs. the Chicago Wolves.

The Ottawa Senators are facing off against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Get your tickets ASAP.

Another immersive experience is coming to Toronto, and this time, it’s bringing a vibrant and dreamlike world to life. Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will feature over 300 of Monet’s creations, transforming them into interactive works of art.

When: Feb. 27 to March 1, 2026 (running until spring 2026)
Time: Timed entries
Where: YZD — 30 Hanover Rd.
Cost: $32.90 for adults, and $24.90 for children

“Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or new to the world of board games, this event offers something for everyone. Discover new games, challenge your friends, and make new connections with fellow board game lovers along the way,” shares the organizers of this event. “Come as a group or solo, and we can help pair you with a community table. Our events are a great way to connect with members of local communities and are perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to make new friends.”

If you want to experience the magic of winter, take part in Harbourfront Centre’s Skate by the Lake experience because what’s more magical than gliding across the ice under the open winter sky by the waterfront? Skate rentals are available and are priced at $10 for children and $15 for adults. On Saturdays, it’s free.

Time: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sundays until 10 p.m.

Toronto’s largest year-round farmers market is even open in the cold months. It’s a great time to support local Ontario farmers and small businesses, too.

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Evergreen Brick Works Winter location: TD Future Cities Centre — 550 Bayview Ave.

According to the Ace Hotel, “Guests are invited to settle into a chic new alpine vibe at the Ace’s rooftop hotspot, complete with twinkling lights, blazing fireplaces, and warm blankets for snuggling indoors or out on the terrace.”

Celebrating its third year, Illuminite will explore the theme of “Play” through several immersive light-based installations, according to the Downtown Yonge BIA. They will be spread across five unique locations in the Downtown Yonge area.

Beginning Family Day, Winter Stations invites all to embrace and experience this year’s theme, Mirage. According to organizers, the competition “invited proposals that play with the boundary between what is seen and what is real in the age of AI, and explore public art as infrastructure that gathers people in shared reality.”
