'Beyond the Gates' Cast Stuns at NAACP Image Awards Event

Cast members from Beyond the Gates attended the Creative Honors ceremony for the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Image Awards.

Among those in attendance was Clolby Nixon, who wore a fitted white gown featuring an intricate floral design.

Fans on X reacted positively to the look, with one user writing, “Colby is so gorgeous!!!,” with a second user adding, “Beautiful photo ❤️”.

Trisha Mann-Grant attended the event in a striking deep red gown.

Ambyr Michelle wore a vibrant scarlet strapless gown paired with a matching red choker. Fans also praised Michelee’s look on X. One user wrote, “Ambyr you look stunning, love your dress ❤️,” while another added, “She is so beautiful.”

Brandon Claybon wore a modern dark tailored suit with an open-collar shirt. Fans also complimented Claybon’s look, with one writing, “He’s looking so handsome.”

The NAACP Image Awards honors outstanding representations and achievements of people of color throughout television, music, books and motion pictures during the previous calendar year.

Beyond the Gates is nominated for two awards at this year’s NAACP Image Awards ceremony. Wankala L. Hinkson is nominated for Outstanding Hairstyling, and the show itself is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

Earlier this month Beyond the Gates head writer and creator Michele Val Jean attended the nomination luncheon. She shared with fans no X, “Lovely afternoon at the Nominees Luncheon. Was truly blown away by so many people coming up and telling me, some in tears, how much this show means to them. Humbling. Thank you NAACP for the honor. #BeyondTheGates #BTG

The 57th annual NAACP Image Awards airs on February 28, 2026 on BET and CBS. The event will be hosted by Deon Cole.
