Who’s ready to pick up a couple of new reads ahead of the start of spring? A used book sale is a great way to get your hands on some books you’ve had your eye on for a while, or discover an author or subject that jumps out at you.
Presented by Friends of the Richmond Library, the annual “Whale of a Book Sale” is the perfect opportunity to peruse and explore some new titles, and all proceeds benefit the libraries of Richmond.
According to organizers, the sale will feature both new and used hardcovers and paperbacks. Genres and subjects you’ll find include fiction, art, music, biography, classics, Canadiana, cookbooks, crafts and hobbies, history, sports, travel, languages, and so much more.
The sale will take place at the Thompson Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 and until 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026. So, mark your calendars!
Note that bags and boxes will not be available at the sale, so make sure you bring your own in case you plan on picking up multiple books.
The sale is cash only.
Happy reading!
