‘80s Icon Gets Nostalgic About Her Stardom Over 30 Years Ago

Brooke Shields is looking back on her legendary fame in a nostalgic and playful way.

Considered one of the most memorable faces in the ’80s, The Blue Lagoon actress carried her popularity into the ’90s, seamlessly transitioning from being a teen star to an established actress.

At the time, she made her Broadway debut in Grease, where she played Betty Rizzo and landed her most iconic ’90s project, the sitcomSuddenly Susan, in which she starred as magazine columnist Susan Keane, earning her two Golden Globe nominations.

With a nod to the past, Shields offered a lighthearted glimpse into her early career.

In an Instagram post, the award-winning actress joined the “Mom, what were you like in the ’90s” trend, where users share throwback photos or videos from their youth, long before pop culture, social media and smartphones had shaped the new generation.

The clip featured Shields’ red carpet moments with fellow stars like Drew Barrymore. Photos also showcased her striking red Richard Tyler dress that she wore to the 1998 Golden Globes and her unforgettable brunette-to-blonde curly hair look.

“Feels like a lifetime ago… the 90s, babe!” she wrote.

The Instagram post immediately caught the attention of fans, with her followers reminiscing about the young Brooke Shields.
