Sheryl Underwood is opening up about the state of her relationship with Sharon Osbourne.
The former co-host of The Talk, appeared as a guest co-host on The View on Tuesday, March 10. During the appearance, Underwood discussed the tense on-air moment between herself and Osbourne in 2021. The two had a heated discussion about racism regarding Osbourne’s long-time friend Piers Morgan’s disparaging comments about Meghan Markle
“I will say this. I still believe there’s some love between me and Sharon Osbourne. I tried to reach out when Ozzy passed,” she said referring to Ozzy Osbourne’s death in 2025.
“I love her,” Underwood continued. “But sometimes you find out, your coworkers, your colleagues or you hope that it doesn’t get as big. You don’t sit next to somebody for that amount of time and don’t have no love.”
She then added, “And the reason people say, ‘Well, Sheryl, when [the feud] happened, why didn’t you reach out?’ I’m afraid to leave a voicemail. Because in the business we’re in, your voicemail will show up somewhere or be misunderstood. I’d rather be quiet than continue to hurt people. Because I’ma have to face God one day.”
Osbourne opened up about the on-air dispute she had with Underwood in a 2024 episode of The Sage Steele Show, where she said she “didn’t want to” apologize to Underwood at the time.
“But my kid said to me, ‘Just apologize to her. Maybe you’re wrong and she read you wrong or something, just in case, apologize.’ And I did,” Osbourne said. “I apologized to her. I called her.”
However, Osbourne claimed that Underwood, “wouldn’t pick up my calls and then she lied and said I never apologized.”
In the Tuesday, March 10 episode of The View, Underwood was asked about her feelings on Osbourne’s previous comments.
“I sat next to her for years and I do believe that when she’s hurt, she’s really hurt. And maybe there were some things that both of us could’ve done differently,” she said. “I believe, what really happened to me, I got into a couple problem discussions on The Talk… And God let me live to correct some of the things that I say and myself.”
Underwood concluded with, “That day is why I didn’t argue and cuss back and forth,” she said. “Because we represent women. And if they see us fighting each other, they will never see that women can come together and talk like we’re talking.”
