Small and large lost relics list in Pokémon Pokopia

13 March 20265 Mins Read

As you adventure around in Pokémon Pokopia, you’ll likely find lost relics, which you’ll want to get appraised by Professor Tangrowth. Lost relics come in two sizes (small and large), and have generally different uses.

These relics can also be donated to Gimmighoul in the Rocky Ridges museum in exchange for random furniture, but their primary use is decor. Large relics are bigger furnishing items, whereas small relics are used as wall decor.

Below we explain how to find relics in Pokémon Pokopia, as well as provide lists of both the large and small relics available in the game.

How to find lost relics in Pokémon Pokopia

You can find relics by using Rock Smash on blocks that have light glowing out of them. There are a lot of things you can dig up from these spots (including mysterious slates, fossils, CDs, and even dolls for Drifloon), but relics seem to be a pretty common reward.

We recommend scouting for these shining spots at night, as it’s easier to see them from afar. It can be pretty hard to see the yellow light coming out of yellow terrain (like the sand or grass in Bleak Beach) during the daytime.

If you want to find more lost relics, you can feed Mosslax sweet foods (like Pecha Berries), which will boost your chances of finding artifacts, according to Serebii.net. If you haven’t unlocked Mosslax yet, you’ll need to complete more requests in Bleak Beach.

Once you dig up the relic, you’ll need to hand them over to Professor Tangrowth to appraise. They’ll tell you what the item is, similarly to appraising fossils in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

My pro-tip is to use the PC in your Palette Town area to get Professor Tangrowth to appraise the relics rather than handing over the items in-person. It’s much faster and you don’t have to wait for the “I’m handing you the item” animation, so it’s great for appraising a lot of relics at once.

Complete list of large relics in Pokémon Pokopia

Large relics are furnishing items you can place as decor around your island. Some of these items can be powered by electricity, whereas others, like the meteor lamp, can come in different color variations. Several of these items are used as part of habitats for Pokémon, like the Pikachu sofa, which is needed to summon Mimikyu.

Large relics can also be obtained via 3D printing from photos you take, and it’s possible for them to show up in the daily shop and PC shop. For example, you can get a Horsea Fountain pretty early from just the standard PC shop once you hit the appropriate Environment Level. You can also find some of these items around the island, just sitting there, ripe for the taking, like the space-themed items in the Rocky Ridges museum. However, any relics you get from not digging them up will not register in the “Ancient Artifacts” section of your collection menu. You have to excavate them yourself in order to log them on that screen.

Below, we list all the large relics in order they appear in your collection, so you can keep track of what you’re missing.

List of small relics in Pokémon Pokopia

Small relics are pretty different from the large ones. Rather than furniture, you get a bunch of items from the mainline games that you can place in frames as decorations. Most of these are held items that usually have some sort of effect on a Pokémon in battle, but they don’t have any battle use in this game. They’re not as engaging as the large relics, but hanging a Throat Spray in your Farigiraf’s house is pretty funny.

Another difference between large and small relics is that you cannot 3D print small relics.

Below, we list the small relics that we’ve found so far in the game, ordered by how they appear in the collections menu. We’ll update this guide as we find more small relics.

If you’re starting out in Pokémon Pokopia, we have guides to help you spruce up your island. We have both a Pokédex and Habitat Dex to assist in figuring out what can spawn where, and what you need to build to summon your favorite creatures. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you can also check out our beginner’s guide for some early tips and tricks to help smooth out your journey.

We also have walkthroughs for the important requests that progress the story: “Yawn up a Storm!,” “Brighten Things Up!,” “Time to Party!,” and “Build the Huge Building!” If you’re looking to play with friends, know that there are restrictions for the regular Pokopia multiplayer and for the GameShare version.
