Taco Bell Just Gave Its Menu ‘New Energy’ With 2 Big Updates

Taco Bell is rolling with fan requests, reimagining two menu items in ways the company hopes that customers find more satisfying than ever.

It’s only been one week since Taco Bell’s Live Más Live, the third annual preview event showcasing what it has in store for the year, and the company is still unveiling menu surprises. In its latest announcement, the cult-favorite fast-food chain revealed it would launch a new version of its iconic Crunchwrap Supreme made with its celebrity-endorsed chicken nuggets, and a new Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla with even more chicken.

“The response to Crispy Chicken Nuggets and Cantina Chicken showed us just how ready fans are for us to keep innovating,” Liz Matthews, global chief food innovation officer at Taco Bell, shared in a March 17 statement. “So we’re having fun with it, playing with form, flavor and texture to bring new energy into the formats our fans already love.”

Taco Bell Adds Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider and Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla to Menus Nationwide

Following last year’s success of the Steak & Queso Crunchwrap sliders comes the new Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider. The new recipe stars Taco Bell’s all-white-meat chicken nuggets coated in crunchy tortilla chips, fresh pico de gallo, choice of Creamy Chipotle or Jalapeño Honey Mustard sauce, and a shredded three-cheese blend, wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla with a signature fold for the all-in-one bite Crunchwrap.

Each slider is available à la carte for about $2.49 or as part of the $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box (prices may vary), which also includes a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos, Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a medium fountain drink—but only for a limited time.

Also, for a limited time, comes Taco Bell’s limited-edition Junk Journal Kit. To commemorate the limited-time Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap, the beloved chain has created an entire stationery kit inspired by the new item, available to some 500 lucky fans. The collectible kit includes a journal, a Crunchwrap Slider sticker sheet, washi tape, and more, “because a menu item this iconic deserves to be remembered,” so says the brand. Rewards Members can enter for a chance to secure the junk journal kit on April 7 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. PT, only at the Tuesday Drops page in the Taco Bell app.

As for the new Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla, it takes Taco Bell’s slow-roasted Cantina Chicken and wraps it in a flour tortilla, layered with a shredded three-cheese blend and Creamy Chipotle sauce for “bold” flavor in every bite, like the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla that came before it in the fall of 2025. It’s served with reduced-fat sour cream for dipping and Avocado Verde Salsa for drizzling.

The Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla isn’t getting its own special stationery kit, but that’s because it’s heading to menus permanently for about $6.69 (prices may vary).

When Will the Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider and Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla Be Available?

The new Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider will be available at participating locations nationwide beginning Thursday, March 19, but only for a limited time. Taco Bell said its Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla will become a permanent menu item starting that same day—let the countdown begin!
