It’s a new week, Edmonton, and there is no lack of great things to do in the city. From a combined cooking class and book club to a singles mixer night for your friends, it’s all going to be super exciting. We’ve rounded up some of the best things to do in Edmonton this week, so let’s get into it.

There’s no question that Edmonton has some of the best escape rooms around. We’ve rounded up the best of them in a list for you folks to check out as a family, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to escape.

This is Edmonton’s science centre, with feature displays, interactive learning opportunities, and so much more. Here, you can even catch a movie in IMAX or visit its new exhibit, Jurassic World by Brickman.

You can come, having read a book that was originally published in another language, and discuss it while making a plate of wonderful gyoza.

Do you have a single friend in need of a little help? That’s what Pitch-A-Friend is here for. Pitch-A-Friend is a night out where friends get to pitch their single buddies to an audience of available suitors, so go ahead and give it your shot!

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughs at The Grindstone Theatre!

This improv night is an evening of top-tier comedy featuring the city’s best improvisers, performing hilarious, unscripted scenes based on your wildest suggestions.

The Trial is a fully improvised courtroom trial, inspired by the law, and supported by entirely fabricated legal knowledge. Every Thursday, Rapid Fire Theatre holds a ‘pay-what-you-can’ showing.

This is one of the bigger markets this season, with over 85 vendors total taking space in the Alberta Aviation Museum. Whether it’s something a little spooky, a little creepy, or just plain old cute, it’s got it all. And, if you’re looking for a tattoo on a whim? It’s got that, too.

Friday Night Trivia is hosted each week at Telus World of Science’s Purple Pear Restaurant. This event is not only free but also family-friendly, so everyone can participate and compete.

Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score will be played live by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in this grand telling of the classic story.
