Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has cancelled the HITEC MENA event that was planned for June 2–4, 2026, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, after assessing the current operating environment for large international events.
HFTP cited logistical and operational factors that would make it challenging to deliver the expected experience for exhibitors, partners, and attendees. The organization noted that international events of this scale require a stable planning environment, including consistent insurance coverage and travel accessibility, and determined that proceeding with the event in 2026 would not be in the best interests of its global community.
HFTP expressed appreciation for its regional partners and acknowledged its partnership with dmg events, conveying support for dmg events and The Hotel Show.
HFTP stated its intention to return with HITEC MENA when conditions are better aligned for the event. No new dates or alternative arrangements were announced.
