Who’s ready to dive into all things April? The week is off to a funky start with the weather, but don’t let that stop you from living your best life. Go see a comedy show, check out a new concert, or participate in a live, non-televised version of The Price Is Right. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (March 30-April 3).

At 90 years old, David Suzuki continues to promote urgent action and innovative solutions when it comes to mitigating climate change. This Wednesday, he’s joined by CBC journalist Gloria Macarenko at UBC’s Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability to reflect on his extraordinary life experiences and how he reshaped how we understand science, justice, and our relationship to the natural world.

UBC’s biggest student-run standup showcase is on this week at Norm Theatre in the Life Building, and Alistair Ogden is headlining. Ogden has previously performed at everything from JFL to Canada’s Got Talent.

Singer-songwriter FKA Twigs is bringing their Body High Tour to UBC’s Doug Mitchell Stadium this Friday, April 3, 2026.

Ever dreamt of spinning the big wheel at The Price Is Right? Now’s your chance, because the live version of this iconic show is coming to the stage at the Orpheum this week. Whether you want to participate or spectate, randomly selected contestants from the audience will spin the wheel, drop chips on Plinko, and climb towards victory in Cliffhangers. There are some incredible prizes up for grabs, so you won’t want to miss it!

In Future-Past Larder, “the kitchen becomes a time machine, and the archive becomes a pantry.” Slice of Life Gallery is hosting these new collages by local artist Ebony Jansen, who combines retro culinary imagery with speculative gestures. The exhibit is on display until Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

GoldFord is a singer-songwriter known for his soulful sound, and he’s coming to the Commodore this Friday, April 3, 2026.

The Improv Centre on Granville Island has a show where dating hopefuls who wrote into the I Saw You column of the Georgia Straight inspire an improvised story of chance encounters.

You can pick up some cherry blossom-themed treats at this year’s Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Fest, which brings new food and drink options to spots across the city.

Between Saturday, March 14 and Monday, April 6, you and your loved ones can enjoy Hoppy Heights at Capilano Suspension Bridge, which features spring break fun for the whole family to enjoy. This includes Easter-themed festivities, seasonal photo spots, and surprises around every corner.

With more than 75 participating eateries, Bite of Burnaby is back with a month-long celebration of the local food scene, including spots like Il Cappello Enoteca, Lee’s Donuts Brentwood, Mulligan’s Japanese Kitchen, Onggi Korean Cuisine, and Dageraad Brewing.
