Aldi Brought Back a $5 Fan Favorite That Will Make Your Home Smell Very Familiar

9 April 20263 Mins Read

I love a company that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Like, yes, give me great products and good prices, but if you can also make me laugh? I’m loyal for life. It’s even better when a retailer is clearly in on the joke, fully aware of our collective obsessions, little shopping quirks, and the random things we all suddenly decide we need.

That’s exactly why Aldi keeps winning me over. It has mastered that sweet spot of being both practical and playful, and every so often they drop something that feels like a wink to their customers. Case in point: the candle that basically broke the internet last year, or at least the computers of Aldi fans chomping at the bit to get one.

Kirkton House 3-Wick Burning Cash Candle in Volcano Mist, $4.99 at Aldi

Kirkton House Burning Cash 3-Wick Candle

Aldi

If you recall, Aldi hosted a giveaway of their Burning Cash-scented candle in 2025. Anyone who wanted in on the freebie had to be among the first to click a link to the promotion and quickly input their info in order to snag a set of two candles (one for you, one for a friend). The candles were gone in a flash, leaving many Aldi fans disappointed.

But alas, the Aldi Burning Cash Candle is back, however it will cost you. The candle costs $4.99 and this year it’s a 3-wick version instead of the single-wick freebies the grocery chain gave away last year. It will be available in the Aldi Finds aisle beginning April 15.

Over on Reddit, Aldi fans who managed to score a Burning Cash candle reported it smelled intensely smoky.

“It’s very smoky smelling,” wrote one Redditor. “They really tried with that ‘money on fire’ smell. Not a nice, light scent.”

In 2026, however, the candle is referred to as a “volcano mist” scent, and having been sent the product to preview, I’m not getting a heavy smokiness at all. In fact, it reminds me of a lighter version of the Capri Blue Volcano candle. It’s very pretty and not overpowering.

Of course, if candles aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty of other items that might pique your interest in the Aldi Finds aisle right now. Like a foldable reclining outdoor chair, a chic bamboo Lazy Susan to help organize your kitchen, and a pair of gold sandals you’ll want to wear all spring and summer long.
