Rory McIlroy's Wife Erica Stoll Shows Unwavering Support After Divorce Filing Drama

As Rory McIlroy makes his latest run at the coveted green jacket at The Masters, he’s not doing it alone. Right there with him at Augusta is his wife, Erica Stoll, who has undoubtedly become his biggest supporter throughout the majority of his career.

As McIlroy looks to earn his second Masters—he won his first last year—Stoll has been watching from the sidelines, cheering on her husband with the couple’s only daughter, Poppy, 5. If McIlroy wins this week’s highly anticipated tournament, Stoll will be one of the first people to congratulate him.

McIlroy and Stoll first met back in 2012 and they tied the knot five years later at Ashford Castle in Ireland. They welcomed Poppy in 2020 and went through a serious rough patch in 2024. In fact, McIlroy filed for divorce from Stoll, citing that their union was “irretrievably broken” in the court documents. About a month later, however, the two reconciled.

“There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate,” McIlroy told The Guardian in one of his most candid interviews ever. “Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game. Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”

In 2025, McIlroy was featured on the Netflix series Full Swing. In one of his interviews, he briefly mentioned his personal life.

“There’s parts of my life that I like to keep as private as possible,” he said, adding, “Unfortunately, in this line of work, that isn’t always possible.”

Stoll is also extremely private. While she may be front and center watching McIlroy play, she keeps a low profile when it comes to the media—even her Instagram account is private.

If this year’s Masters is any indication of how things are going for the golf pro, he appears locked in—and with his family firmly in his corner, he may be closer than ever to adding yet another unforgettable moment to his legacy.
