WorldHotels has launched WorldHotels Backdrop, a collection of upscale glamping retreats and outdoor escapes in scenic destinations worldwide. The collection features accommodations such as canvas-tented rooms and riverside cabins set in natural settings, including mountains, coastlines, and near national parks.
Backdrop currently includes Zion Wildflower Resort in Virgin, Utah, located minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park, offering safari-style accommodations with access to hiking, stargazing, and guided desert activities. Asheville River Cabins in Arden, North Carolina, is situated along the French Broad River near Asheville and features renovated cabins with waterfront and mountain views, serving as a base for tubing, hiking, and mountain biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Lodge at Pico Bonito in La Ceiba, Honduras, is set to join the Backdrop collection soon. This rainforest lodge is located near Pico Bonito National Park and provides access to jungle trails, waterfalls, and wildlife in Central America.
Backdrop properties serve as venues for meetings, retreats, and special events, offering indoor and outdoor layouts that overlook natural landscapes. Sites include on-site kitchens, presentation areas, and facilities for corporate dinners, workshops, and social gatherings.
Backdrop allows unique outdoor and adventure properties to join the portfolio while maintaining their individual character. The collection provides support for owners and developers, including a guest management system, purchasing programs, access to the WorldHotels Rewards program, and insurance solutions.
Expansion plans for Backdrop include early discussions for locations in Phan Thiet, Vietnam, as well as in Africa and Australia. No specific timelines or additional property details were provided for these locations.
