About the LOOK26 Gala: Off the Path
Presented by MAWER and brought to life by local artist DaveandJenn, this year’s Off The Path theme will transform Contemporary Calgary into a whimsical forest-inspired world filled with dramatic lighting and hidden spaces that feel like you’re on a movie set.
The night will begin with the Holt Renfrew VIP Dinner, followed by the Cabaret experience, the centrepiece of the night. It will finish with an after-party where the gallery turns into an after-dark celebration with DJs, art activations, and a dance floor that keeps the night going.
A big part of LOOK26 is the art auction itself, which includes both a live and silent auction featuring work from some of Canada’s most recognized and emerging artists. The exhibition sets the stage for the evening, giving guests the chance to explore pieces from a wide range of artists before the bidding begins.
The silent auction runs throughout the night, giving guests a chance to support Contemporary Calgary while building or starting their own art collection. With a variety of price points and styles available, the event feels accessible, whether you’re a longtime collector or simply someone who loves art and wants to take a piece of the night home.

The gala is an 18+ event with several ticket options available, depending on how much of the night you want to experience. VIP dinner tickets start at $1,000 for individual access, while Cabaret tickets are priced at $300 and include performance hors d’oeuvres, auction access, and entry to the after-party
If you’re more interested in the after-party, the Ryan Green After Party is $40 and gives you access to DJs, live entertainment, and the silent auction. Every ticket also comes with a one-year Contemporary Calgary membership, which makes splurging feel a little easier to justify.
