A brand new weekly K-drama from SBS is coming to Netflix on May 8, 2026: My Royal Nemesis. The series stars Im Ji Yeon, Han Nam Jun, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Se Hee. Here’s everything we know about My Royal Nemesis on Netflix.

My Royal Nemesis is an upcoming licensed South Korean Netflix Original fantasy rom-com series directed by Han Tae Seob and written by Kang Hyun Joo. The series is produced by Studio Dragon and Gill Pictures, and will be broadcast on the South Korean network SBS TV.

When is the My Royal Nemesis Netflix release date?

Netflix has confirmed that My Royal Nemesis will be available on the streaming service on May 8, 2026. There will be a total of 14 episodes, with brand new episodes available every Friday and Saturday until the series finale on June 20, 2026.

The series will be broadcast on South Korea’s SBS network and will be available to stream on Netflix the same day. 

Each episode will have an approximate runtime of 70 minutes.

What is the plot of My Royal Nemesis?

“A romance comedy centered on a love-hate relationship between Sin Seo Ri, a legendary villainess from Joseon, and Cha Se Gye, a ruthless modern-day chaebol. Sin Seo Ri, a nameless actress who becomes possessed by the spirit of a notorious Joseon-era femme fatale, gains a vicious personality. Once a royal concubine of the highest rank who was called a national seductress and sentenced to death by poison, her soul is transported to the 21st century, where she begins a new life. “

Who are the cast members of My Royal Nemesis?

Im Ji Yeon plays Sin Seo Ri and Kang Dan Sim. The actress is best known for starring in Netflix’s highly successful K-drama The Glory as antagonist Park Yeon Jin. She also played the lead role of “Seoul” in the Korean adaptation of Money Heist. Outside of Netflix, she played lead roles in K-dramas such as The Tale of Lady Ok, The Killing Vote, Lies Hidden in My Garden, and House of Lies.

Heo Nam Jun plays Cha Se Gye. The actor has played a lead role in Netflix K-dramas, including The Dream Life of Mr. Kim and When the Phone Rings. His other appearances on Netflix have been in supporting roles in dramas such as When the Stars Gossip and Sweet Home. He also played a supporting role in the Netflix film Night in Paradise.

Jang Seung Jo plays Choi Mun Do. The actor has starred in Netflix’s As You Stoody By, The Frog, and Chocolate. Outside of Netflix has played lead roles in dramas such as The Good Detective, Nothing Uncovered, and Money Flower.

Lee Se Hee plays Yun Ji Hyo. The actress also starred in The Dream Life of Mr. Kim and played a lead role in A Virtuous Business. She also starred in a supporting role in the second season of Hospital Playlist. The actress has had leading roles in Bad Prosecutor, Young Lady and Gentleman, and Sandwich Theory.
