You don’t really think about how much time you spend standing in your kitchen until you get one of those cushioned mats and suddenly realize your feet don’t hurt anymore. It’s one of those small upgrades that sneaks up on you. At first you’re like, “Oh, this is nice,” and then a few days later you’re wondering how you ever stood at the sink or stove without it.

What I love is that the Thomasville Comfort Mat set comes in four different colorways—there’s the blue shown above, a yellow featuring a lemon motif, navy with a lovely floral pattern, and ivory which boasts a more delicate vintage floral vibe.

Each mat has a nice bit of cushion (not too bulky, but enough to actually make a difference), and they stay put thanks to the non-slip backing, which is key.
