1 May 20264 Mins Read

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for a special way to give thanks to Mom, we have a few ideas that could help. Mothers, maternal figures, mentors, or anyone in between, we’ve compiled a list of a few things you can do with them on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. After all, it’s a weekend celebration.

Here are a number of Mother’s Day experiences you can enjoy in Toronto:

Mother’s Day experiences in Toronto

Restaurants

From brunch to dinner, these Toronto restaurants are worth booking a reservation for:

  • Alder Mother’s Day prix fixe brunch: Sunday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • Enjoy a three-course meal featuring elevated takes on breakfast favourites. Think salmon tartare, lobster brioche, fried chicken, and waffles. It’s not complete without dessert (ahem, their famous coconut cream pie), while jamming to live R&B music. Reservations are recommended and can be made online. It’s priced at $60 per person, $20 kids’ menu.
  • Mother’s Day Festa: Sunday, May 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Eataly’s annual Mother’s Day Festa is back at Eataly Yorkville on May 10. It’ll transform the store into a spring-inspired escape. Fresh blooms will adorn the space as seasonal flavours and Italian traditions meet. Guests can enjoy a curated Taste Around experience, discovering chef-led tasting stations featuring both savoury bites and sweet treats. Tickets are priced at $60 plus tax.
  • Mother’s Day at La Plume: Sunday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Enjoy a delicious French-inspired brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or head down for dinner starting at 4 p.m. Expect special features and a dedicated kids’ menu for family-friendly dining.
  • Afternoon Tea at The Dorset: Sunday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
    • Indulge in this afternoon tea experience featuring scones, finger sandwiches, and premium teas. This experience is priced at $69 per person.
  • Mother’s Day at Bridgette Bar Toronto: Sunday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to close
    • Happy hour, anyone? Celebrate Mother’s Day all day with brunch, a Matinée Happy Hour at 3 p.m. or a Sunday Supper Club prix-fixe menu starting at 6 p.m. for a more lively, social experience.
  • Mother’s Day Brunch: Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Experience an elevated Nikkei brunch at Chotto Matte for Mother’s Day weekend. Enjoy a brunch menu featuring refined Japanese-Peruvian flavours, beautifully presented dishes, and a vibrant live DJ.
