The Night Agent is coming to an end with filming underway on the fourth and final season.

Filming is officially underway in Los Angeles for what will be the fourth and FINAL season of The Night Agent, as Netflix has confirmed “One Final Call” for Peter Sutherland.
The Night Agent debuted on Netflix in March 2023, quickly amassing a huge fan following and becoming one of the year’s top shows and a likely future household name.
However, we weren’t expecting to see such a steep decline in viewing figures from season to season. The decline in viewership for the second season can be attributed to fans waiting almost two years for its release, but that doesn’t explain the even steeper decline in viewership for season 3, which took just over a year to release on Netflix after season 2.
It’s tough to determine why the drop in viewership has been so significant, but one thing is for certain: it’s the decline that has led Netflix to make the tough decision and end the series after four seasons. While fans will be sad to see the series come to an end, at least they’ll get to see it conclude, which is more than can be said for other originals that ended very abruptly.
The Night Agent EP, showrunner and creator Shawn Ryan, shared a statement with Netflix regarding the final season:
“Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey. I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans. We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget.”
