Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we know how important it is to celebrate the most wonderful women in our lives.

Whether you’re celebrating your mom, grandma, or any of the magnificent mothers in your life, there are plenty of fun activities and events happening in Metro Vancouver to create a memorable day together.

Here are fun Mother’s Day events around Vancouver that your mom will love!

What: Get zen with some adorable animals. Maan Farms is hosting a special family-friendly Hatha Goat Yoga experience, followed by a delicious curry bowl or chicken strips and fries for participants. There will even be time for goat socializing afterwards for you and your little ones.

When: Sunday, May 10, 2026
Time: 3 p.m.
Where: Maan Farms – 790 McKenzie Rd., Abbotsford
Cost: $37.10 to $63.60, register online

What: The Mother’s Day Traditional Pow Wow is being held at Trout Lake and John Hendry Park on Sunday, May 10, with a variety of drum groups and dancers. Everyone is welcome to attend the festivities hosted by the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society.

When: Sunday, May 10, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Trout Lake and John Hendry Park
Cost: Free

What: Athiana Acres is hosting a special Mother’s Day Floral Arranging Workshop where guests will be guided through creating a spring arrangement in a vase. There will also be an assortment of refreshments while you learn expert tips on how to start your own garden.

When: May 9 and 10, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Glass Greenhouse at Athiana Acres — 12800 No.2 Rd., Richmond
Cost: $160, register online

What: Treat Mom to some well-deserved relaxation at the Lush Spa on Robson. There are several rejuvenating experiences to choose from that will pamper, restore, and uplift, not just on Mother’s Day but every day.

Options include the Rewilding Facial, a Highlands hot stone massage, The Spell reflexology-inspired foot and scalp massage, and more that will ease their tension and indulge the senses. See all of the available treatments online.

What: The Glades Woodland Garden, home to the Lower Mainland’s largest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas, invites everyone to a Mother’s Day celebration.

Explore the garden while enjoying live music from a string trio. Guests are invited to pack their own picnic or treat themselves to snacks and refreshments from two local vendors.

When: May 9 and 10, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 457 – 172nd St., Surrey
Tickets: $9.20, children 12 and under are free. Tickets must be bought online in advance, as no tickets will be sold on site.

What: Bring your mom down to The Improv Centre on Granville Island for an afternoon of laughs with some of Vancouver’s top comedians. The show is family-friendly and will be inspired by the audience’s suggestions.

Time: Doors 1 p.m., show 2 p.m.
Where: The Improv Centre – 1502 Duranleau St., Vancouver

What: Dress up in costumes and Regency-era attire and spend the day exploring the 55 acres of VanDusen Botanical Garden before settling in for a live performance by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

The eight VSO string musicians will perform contemporary hits with a classical twist, including music by ABBA, Coldplay, Adele, and more. Make sure to take photos on the Rhododendron Walk, under the golden laburnum trees, and violet wisteria.
