Netflix previously handed a speedy renewal to its comedy series Tires from Steve Gerben, Shane Gillis, and John McKeever. Following its 12-episode season 2 debut on June 5th, the wait for renewal only took a month, and the wait for season 3 won’t take much longer now that we have confirmation that Tires season 3 will be released on Netflix on August 13, 2026.

The series is part of a major comedy push at Netflix over the past few years, which seems to be paying off. They’ve had a slew of hits from the past couple of years, including Nobody Wants This, A Man on the Inside, and Running Point. They’ve also experimented with several smaller shows featuring a big stand-up comedian at the center, such as Bad Thoughts with Tom Segura and Free Bert, headlined by Bert Kreischer, both of which were renewed for second seasons.

How have Tires performed on Netflix so far?

Season 2 of the workplace comedy debuted to slightly fewer views than Season 1, but that’s primarily because the runtime was substantially longer on its second outing, increasing from 2 hours to 4 hours and 54 minutes, thanks to the bump to 12 episodes. It garnered 13.7 million hours watched between June 8th and June 15th, equating to 2.8 million views, but ultimately dropped out of the rankings in the following week, suggesting it fell below 2.7 million views, which would have been enough to qualify it in the rankings. Season 2 was featured in the weekly top 10s in 6 countries, down from the 8 that Season 1 featured.

Despite falling out of the top 10, the show continues to receive favorable reviews across the board, with some of the new episodes on IMDb garnering ratings of 8.5 and above. In their review, Collider noted that Season 2 was a vast improvement over Season 1.
