Giuliana Rancic Reveals Why She Turned Down 'Dancing with the Stars' Multiple Times

22 May 20262 Mins Read

We won’t see Giuliana Rancic in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom anytime soon — or will we?

In an interview with Page Six Radio out this week, the former E! News correspondent got to talking about how she turned down the chance to compete on the show multiple times, but years later it may not be off the table.

“I was asked a couple times to go on Dancing with the Stars, they even came to E!, the casting directors, we spoke, I just never did it,” she said. “Just never pursued it.”

Rancic, 51, also mentioned that the fact that she had scoliosis when she was young and has rods in her back also discouraged her from accepting a potential invite to the show.

“I always thought, I don’t know if I’ll be as good as all the other dancers,” she said.

However, the offer may or may not be back on her radar as she mentioned that she’s been asked again and could use the platform to highlight a cause close to her heart.

“I love rescuing dogs and they’re like, ‘You could go on and talk about, like, why it’s so important, you know, to rescue dogs and adopt,’ and that sort of thing.” she mentioned.

Looking to the future, especially as DWTS casting for Season 35 is underway, the TV personality, who just launched a new podcast with her husband, Bill, said she didn’t regret initially turning it down, and is open to the future.

“I always feel like you can’t regret anything because you’re doing what is best for you in the moment,” she said. “It would have been amazing because it’s such a great show and it’s so fun to watch, but I don’t know, I feel like maybe back then it wasn’t right.”

“It just wasn’t right for me at that time, so we’ll see,” she said.

So far for the upcoming season, Summer House and Traitors star Ciara Miller,Love Island star Maura Higgins and Savanah Bananas player Jackson Olson, are confirmed to join.
