Kelly Osbourne Honors Ozzy With Emotional Message and Photos on the 1st Father’s Day Since His Death

21 June 20263 Mins Read

Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at the age of 76. Since this is the first Father’s Day since his passing, his daughter Kelly posted an emotional tribute to him on social media. Her post included several throwback photos of the star with her as she was growing up.

The accompanying caption said, “Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments, the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see. The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all! I will never stop missing you. It is an honor to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again!” The post ended with a red heart.

Kelly posted additional photos to her Instagram stories. One was a screenshot of a text exchange from her father where he said, “I know whenever I’m feeling sick and miserable, all I have to do is watch the video you sent of little Sid in the bath and it makes me so happy. I just wish you were both still here. I really love the both of you and all I want is for the two of you to be happy. And if there is ever anything you need from me you only need to ask.”

She responded with, “Dad, I love you more than anything in the world. Sidney [her son] and I miss you terribly.”

Thousands of fans liked the post and left touching comments. One said, “Lovely words. As painful as your loss is, what a treasure of a father you had. A rare one.” Another said, “When it comes to dads, you hit the jackpot. You have the absolute coolest and dopest human to say these kinds of things about, and we love you and understand the loss you feel because we also miss him and he wasn’t even ours.”

The 41-year-old also spoke about losing her father earlier this year after comments circulated about her weight loss. “First, I want to start by saying I received so many lovely, lovely, lovely comments from people that have really helped me get through this time in my life since losing my father,” she posted to her Instagram in December of 2025, as reported by Just Jared.

Then she went on to address the haters, saying, “I’m just here to say, what do you expect from me? What do you expect me to look like right now? The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that. You say that I look ill. Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down. I don’t understand how people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not.”
