West Edmonton Mall is turning the lights down in Galaxyland for an after-hours experience

22 June 20263 Mins Read

Galaxyland After Dark is going to give Edmonton something to look forward to this Friday evening.

At West Edmonton Mall, the amusement park, Galaxyland, isn’t usually open all that late. For this special event, Galaxyland will be taking over the evening with music, rides, and neon lights all over. You won’t want to miss this experience, as it’s pretty rare to get into the park after hours.

This is a night that you and your friends definitely aren’t going to forget. If you’re looking for the best late-night extravaganza coming up, you’ve found it right here.

What to expect

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26, Galaxyland will have the lights down and the thrills up!

What does this mean, exactly? Well, you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited rides under neon lights. Or, you might want to dance to the live DJ, make a memory in the 360 photobooth, or soak in the electric energy the mall has created.

If you haven’t been to the park before, let me catch you up to speed. North America’s largest indoor amusement park features more than 27 exhilarating rides and play areas, accessible and available for all ages. It’s also powered by Hasbro, making this the only Hasbro theme park in Canada.

I’ve been to Galaxyland tons, and it’s changed more times than I can remember. Right now, it has an excellent lineup of exhilarating rides and experiences that you won’t regret taking a chance on. It’s been around for so long for a reason. No matter your age or who you’re with, it’s guaranteed to be an excellent time.

Tickets start at $45 online and $50 at the door. If you’re already visiting the park during the day, you’ll be able to enter Galaxyland After Dark for only $10 with your general admission pass.

This is honestly the perfect way to take advantage of Galaxyland on a late night. It’s not every day that you get to experience something like this, so it’s best to book the ticket and make the most of the adventure.

Trust me, you’re not going to regret heading out for this one.

When: Friday, June 26, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: West Edmonton Mall — 8882 170th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $45+
