Jelly Roll has done it again! The beloved performer is earning high praise for a heartfelt gesture recently offered to one very loyal listener.
A dedicated fan named Lauryn Roussel was granted a lifetime pass to his concerts earlier this week, after Jelly Roll clocked the frequent flyer at the barricade in Bangor, Maine, as seen in a video uploaded to TikTok by the lucky recipient.
“This young lady right here, make sure she never buys a ticket to a show again,” he said from the stage. Someone in the crowd groaned, seemingly thinking she was getting the boot, before the singer continued, “This is like the sixth show I’ve seen her at. You’ll never buy another ticket to my concert, ever. We will take care of that tonight.”
He added that he’d already seen her several times on this tour alone, sending her his own gratitude. “Thank you, this is so awesome,” he said. “Thank you.”
@laurynrou I am OVER THE MOON thank you so so so much @Jelly Roll I know my best friend who passed on 12/24/21 is always with me. I spoke to her and said “if you’re with me tonight please get him to sign my book” I full on believe this is a sign from her. I cried. I thought I was going to puke and pass out. Best night of my life. #concert #jellyroll #fyp #repost #love

Fans were relieved by the way things turned out, with several initially believing that she was catching a lifetime ban based on his unintentionally aggressive tone of voice.
“Girl, I thought you were in TROUBLE,” one replied, with another agreeing, “Lowkey thought she was getting kicked out for a second 😭😭😭.”
“not me thinking he was banning you from coming ever again 😭😭😭😭😭,” a third agreed.
But, as one fan put it, while the “delivery of the message was a bit concerning…the outcome was lovely.”
“That was the most aggressively nice gesture I’ve ever heard 😂,” one described it, while others flooded the comments with praise for the “humble” offering.
“Nothing but respect for Jelly Roll! 👏🏻,” one applauded, while many gushed over his facial recognition.
“The fact that out of THOUSANDS of faces he sees daily he remembers her face is crazy! 🥲,” one wrote, while another emphasized, “And for him to notice you 5 different times….🥰.”
“The fact that he even remembers and notices who standing out there supporting him says a lot about who he is as a person❤️,” someone else concluded, while a final fan praised the example set by the country star, calling it “proof that fame doesn’t get to some artists heads.”
“he is so humble,” they added.
It’s a sentiment often shared about the “Son of a Sinner” singer and his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Bunnie Xo, who have been open about feeling like they “don’t deserve money.” Clearly, he’s found a good use for it by honoring his biggest supporters.
