10 things to do in Toronto this week (June 29-July 3)

29 June 20265 Mins Read

It’s another thrilling week in the city, and there are tons of things to do in Toronto. Summer-like weather is here, and we’re so stoked for all the fun that’s to come. That means more outdoor adventures, patio outings with friends, and an intoxicating city vibe.

Want to know what’s going on in the city? Here are 10 of the best things to do this week in Toronto.

A summer series of free outdoor movies, live music, and free activities is taking place at College Park. This Wednesday, aka Canada Day, they will be streaming the classic Will Ferrell movie, Kicking & Screaming.

When: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Time: 3 p.m. to late (movie at 7 p.m.)
Where: College Park, 444 Yonge St.
Cost: Free

A day of celebration in the city (as if we haven’t been celebrating every day thanks to the World Cup) just for Canada Day. Hit up Nathan Phillips Square for activities including soccer skills and drills on the mini pitches (starting at 10 a.m.), Indigenous crafts, face painting, circus acts and more. The full schedule

Need some Canada Day plans? Loud Luxury is taking over the RBC Amphitheatre and tickets are still available.

Canada Soccer House, in partnership with GE Appliances and Uber Eats Canada, is one of the best spots to catch the FIFA World Cup this season.

Along with the screenings, expect partner activations, retail pop-ups and the chance to meet Canadian soccer legends. Located right at the Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay W., the hub will be open on select days.

When: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Harbourfront Centre – 235 Queens Quay W.

A pink double-decker bus will be rolling through the streets of Toronto, bringing in Canada’s first afternoon tea experience served in motion. Here’s what to know about High Sociétéa.

Though we’ve seen our fair share of jaw-dropping, questionable, and even shocking scenes in the city, there’s nothing quite like this.

It’s huge, it’s pink, and it’s moving. This double-decker experience offers a curated city tour, live violin, and a theatrical onboard experience under a panoramic glass roof with 180-degree city views.

When: Wednesday, July 1 to Friday, July 3, 2026
Time: Thursdays to Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Departure and return are from a central downtown Toronto spot (details after booking)
Cost: $125 +

Toronto transit fans are in for a treat! The TTC has brought its beloved merchandise right to commuters with a new pop-up inside Bathurst Station. And for every Thursday through Sunday for the time being, as well as on select game days.

According to the TTC, shoppers will be able to browse exclusive TTC styles and limited seasonal drops throughout the summer.

When: Thursdays through Sundays
Time: Starting at noon
Where: Bathurst Station — 819 Bathurst St.

This year’s TOPS brings five evenings of Thursday movies to the Corktown Common this July. To kick off the first night, attendees will be treated to Back to the Future, paired with a short film by a local Canadian filmmaker.

When: Thursday, July 2, 2026
Time: Showtime at sundown (around 9 p.m.)
Where: Corktown Common, 155 Bayview Ave.
Cost: Free

Girl Dinners are not just exclusive to your homes; it’s now at Chotto Matte Toronto. We’re talking Chotto Caesar Salad, Truffled Yuca Fries, Chotto Matte’s signature Dragon Roll, and the choice between three martini favourites: Dirty Nikkei Martini, Lychee Lover Martini, or classic Espresso Martini.

When: Thursdays to Saturdays
Time: 6 p.m. to late
Where: 161 Bay St.
Cost: $44

The summertime event is marking its 25th spectacular season, set to enchant audiences starting Sunday, June 21. Each year, the Toronto Music Garden is transformed into a breathtaking open-air theatre, where music and nature intertwine in perfect harmony.

Locals and visitors alike are invited to experience the magic, as the sounds of talented Canadian artists and international names fill the garden with melody, rhythm, and soul, all completely free of charge.

When: Thursdays and Sundays from June 21 to Aug. 27, 2026
Time: Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m.
Where: Toronto Music Garden — 479 Queens Quay W.

Sport Chek is transforming Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre into a massive soccer destination with the launch of a new free fan experience – a floating futsal pitch. It’s a nearly 130-foot field installed directly on the water.

The floating soccer field opens on Thursday, June 11 and runs until Sunday, July 19, when the tournament concludes. Admission is free, and 60-minute sessions can be booked online and on a first-come, first-served basis.

When: Until Sunday, July 19, 2026
Time: 60-minute bookings daily
Where: 235 Queens Quay W.
Cost: Free (first come, first served)

If you need any World Cup plans, make your way to Stackt Market daily, until Sunday, July 19, to experience the new Adidas activation.

The space will offer free admission to up to 1,200 fans daily on a first-come, first-served basis. Luckily, you won’t need to sign up in advance or secure tickets online. But considering Toronto loves a lineup, you may want to get there early.

Expect watch parties on a 13.5′ x 24′ screen, eat from vendors offering food tailored to the tournament, including specially curated menus on select days, check out their 20’ x 10’ soccer activation where fans can try the adidas Predator or F50 boots, and so much more.

When: Daily until Sunday, July 19, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (closed Mondays)
Where: Stackt Market — 28 Bathurst St.
Cost: Free
