The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary is set within 76 acres of forests and coffee plantations in the Western Ghats. The IGBC Platinum-certified property is located in one of Coorg’s oldest coffee estates and features 71 villas, including duplex, family, and private pool villas, as well as the four-bedroom Sunbeam Presidential Villa overlooking the forest.
The property’s architecture incorporates elements inspired by Kodava heritage, estate living, and the local landscape. A seven-acre lake is located at the center of the retreat, and the site includes a private helipad.
Dining options include Luma, which offers lakefront all-day dining focused on seasonal ingredients, and Zen, which serves Pan-Asian cuisine. The Cellar is available for guests, and 92 Degrees provides experiences related to Coorg’s coffee heritage. The Estate to Brew program offers estate walks, curated tastings, and storytelling centered on the region’s coffee culture.
The retreat offers guided forest walks, plantation trails, birdwatching, waterfall explorations, cycling routes, and stargazing. The wellness center, Aujasya by The Leela, spans 27,000 square feet and includes outdoor treatment spaces and a Vinyasa Yoga Deck overlooking the lake. The wellness program features therapies, yoga, mindfulness, and nature-inspired rituals.
The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary is part of The Leela’s portfolio of palaces, hotels, and resorts. The company currently has 24 hotels operating and in the pipeline in various cities and leisure destinations.
