ArianaGrande has dropped out of the 13th season of American Horror Story.
The news comes after the RyanMurphy production announced the upcoming season will feature stars from previous seasons, including JessicaLange, SarahPaulson, EvanPeters, AngelaBassett, KathyBates, EmmaRoberts, BillieLourd, GaboureySidibe, and LeslieGrossman.
The singer and actress has left the show because of scheduling conflicts with her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, according to Variety’sreporting.
This would have been Grande’s debut in the FX franchise. She previously worked with Murphey, Roberts, and Lourd in the 2015 series Scream Queens.
In November, the “Thank U, Next” singer spoke to Variety about her role in Season 13 of American Horror Story.
“I know a little tiny bit. What I know I cannot say. I am coming into the world in a way that I don’t know much about yet,” Grande said. “I received a text, a very exciting text [from Murphy]. I’ll probably have a very tiny thing to do in it, but I’ll be grateful to be a part of it because I love everyone in it.”
There is still very little known about what this season of American Horror Story has in store for fans.
In April, Ryan Murphy Productions gave a teaser with an Instagram post. It included a photo of Paulson with the caption: “AHS 13 The Return of @mssarahcatharinepaulson as Cordelia Goode. The Supreme Rises. And yes we have rebuilt the entire Robichaux Academy. Coming this September.”
The Robichaux Academy refers to 2013’s Season 3, Coven. The Academy is an all-girl boarding school for witchcraft, led by Paulson’s character.
The returning cast will be joined by JohnWaters, PaulAnthonyKelly, and JoeyPollari.
American Horror Story Season 13 is set to premiere on FX and Hulu on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. PT.
