You can walk through 30 acres of sunflowers at this picture-perfect festival near Toronto, Canada Reviews

15 July 20263 Mins Read

Summer in Ontario is the season for flowers of all kinds, and once mid-July rolls around, one particular sunny favourite starts to bloom: sunflowers. But these tall blossoms that seem to be literally smiling at the sun only bloom for about two weeks, so catching them at their peak is all about timing. So revolve your summer plans around this massive sunflower festival coming to a farm less than an hour outside Toronto this month.

Davis Family Farm in Caledon, Ont. is hosting their annual Sunflower Festival 2026, kicking off on July 25 and running until Aug. 9. Grab tickets to the festival ($13.50 for adults or $5 for kids ages six to 12) and get ready to explore what they call their Field of Dreams —  a whopping 30 acres of bright and beautiful sunflowers. There are 3 kilometres of walking trails for visitors to traverse throughout the fields of blooms, with countless picturesque spots for photos. Other highlights include a piano set up in the middle of the field (anyone can play and add to the dreamy atmosphere of the farm), exotic animal demonstrations for kids on weekends and even sunflower yoga within the fields. The farm even closes down at 6 p.m. every day to reserve the fields for family and commercial photography sessions, available by appointment only. A free shuttle service and props will be provided!

And for one night only this year, the farm will be hosting a Sunflower Soiree. Enjoy live music, drinks and food while watching the sun set on the endless fields of bright sunflowers. The soiree is scheduled for July 31 and you can book tickets online.

If you love music, this year, Davis Family Farm will also be the host of a special event that’s part of the Caledon Music Festival: the opening night performance. Entitled Opera Fantasy, prepare to enjoy a beautiful outdoor concert among the fields of flowers.

Pop-up marketplaces are planned for some weekends throughout the festival, though vendors haven’t been announced yet, other than one of the farm’s regulars: Main Street Ice Cream. Prefer to pack your own lunch? The farm offers plenty of green space on weekdays for a family picnic. Bonus: Bring your dog along and you’ll find water stations scattered throughout the area for your thirsty pup.

While the sunflowers are in bloom, the farm will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last entry one hour before closing.

And don’t stress over cloudy forecasts — if it rains during your visit, you can use your tickets for another day.

The Davis Family Farm Toronto Sunflower Fields & Festival runs until August 9. The farm is located at 15770 Mountainview Rd., Caledon East. Click here for more details.
