A beloved summer tradition is bringing a new corn maze and live music to this B.C. farm

21 July 20263 Mins Read

The Chilliwack Corn Festival is a beloved summertime tradition that brings live music, family-friendly activities, and friendly competitions together for the ultimate summer at the farm experience. And as its name suggests, fresh-roasted corn is at the centre of the festivities, with crowd-favourite corn-shucking and corn-eating contests to look forward to.

The celebration spans two weekends in early August, from Aug. 1 to 3, and 8 to 9. It’s the perfect way to kick off corn maze season and transition to late summer.

A new corn maze

Speaking of, Greendale Acres’ new GOT CORN? Corn Maze debuts on Wednesday, July 29 (2 to 6 p.m.), which is included in regular farm admission. Designed for visitors of all ages, the new corn maze will feature hidden checkpoints to discover, inviting guests to roam the towering acres of corn while searching for clues along the way.

The farm will also have rows and rows of vibrant wildflower fields in bloom, train rides, and plenty of classic farm attractions to complete the experience.

Live music lineup

As for the Chilliwack Corn Festival, family activities include face painting from noon to 2 p.m. daily.

Guests can also enjoy a cold beverage while dancing to live music, including during the following concerts:

  • Petersen Duo – 4 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 1
  • The Johnny Bootleg Trio – 4 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 2
  • Ryan McAllister – 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 3
  • Desiree Walde and the Backroad Revival Band – 4 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 8
  • John Petersen – 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9

These concerts kick off the farm’s Sundown Music Series, which lights up the stage on Saturday nights and holidays through August, from Aug. 1 to 3, Aug. 8 and 9, and Aug. 15, 22, 29, and Sept. 5. Each event includes access to a licensed bar and food and drink options, as well as the corn maze and flower fields.

Note that freshly roasted corn will be available for purchase starting Aug. 1, with guests able to customize their ears of corn off the grill with a selection of flavours for the ideal summer treat.

How much is admission?

Tickets are available online for $19 a piece, or $22 at the door, so it helps to book your spot in advance if you want to save a couple of bucks. Admission is free for farm members.

Corn-shucking competitions will take place at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. on each day the festival runs, while corn-eating contests will take place at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.

If outdoor concerts and farm activities make your summer feel complete, there’s no better place to plan your summer sendoff.

When: Saturday, Aug. 1 to Monday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, 9, 2026
Time: 12:30 to 7 p.m.
Where: 41905 Yale Road West, Chilliwack
Cost: $19 to $22 per person
