Best tower order in Big Walk

4 August 20263 Mins Read

In Big Walk, you’ll need to submit red collectibles to colored towers throughout the map. You can do nearly all the towers in whatever order you want, but since they unlock different things, you may want to know which ones to prioritize first.

Most of the towers unlock some form of transport to help you navigate the island, and you will need to finish all four of the colored towers to beat the game anyway.

Below we explain what we think the best tower order is in Big Walk.

Based on our experience, here’s what order you should complete the towers in:

  1. Red
  2. Green
  3. Yellow
  4. Blue

Honestly, you can swap the positions of green, yellow, and blue, depending on what type of travel you prefer to use. We detail more about what they unlock and their uses below.

Easily the most important tower is the red one, which you will find first upon after completing the tutorial area. This tower unlocks a huge 3D map of the island, which marks the location of major landmarks: red object locations, blue backpack structures, and other towers. This map will even mark which of the red gourds you’ve found, making it a must when seeking out more of those collectibles.

From here, it’s kind of a dealer’s choice. Yellow is the second most useful, but because yellow is the farthest tower, it’s better to complete green or blue first. We prefer green because it unlocks the ski lift that just helps you get up hills to the yellow and green towers quickly. Nearby the green tower, there’s also a very useful item: a holster that holds two red things (that you can either hold yourself or put on your backpack), so having a fast line to this item when you start up a play session is pretty useful. You can find this item under the glowing balloon object near the green tower, in the forest.

The yellow tower comes third, as it unlocks a tunnel system that connects all the areas together. The tunnel is convenient, as it’s flat and easy to navigate (as opposed to climbing up cliffs and rocks), though the journey through the tunnel itself isn’t exactly super speedy.

The blue tower is the least important to us. Though it unlocks the train system that you see around the island, the train itself is pretty limited. It moves slowly and only in one direction, so its use cases are somewhat rare. We didn’t use the train very much at all during our big walk.

That being said, again, the three towers that unlock navigation systems are kind of a preferential thing. If you like trains and want to ride around the island in a circle, then maybe you’ll want to prioritize blue over the others.
