Better Than Ezra is hitting the road this fall, and fans are already expressing excitement to see the band live in concert. Announced today, Tuesday, Aug. 4, the alt-rockers are set to play seven more shows throughout November 2026 across four states.
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, the band uploaded a poster declaring the revival of a fan-favorite concert series in celebration of a major music anniversary. “25 years of Closer 🦋 We’re bringing the Legends of the Fall Tour back this November to celebrate an album that’s meant so much to us,” the social media caption noted. “Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM local time.”
The band was also sure to communicate the desire to connect with fans in real life: “Can’t wait to see you out there and celebrate together!”
Formed in the late 1980s in Louisiana, Better Than Ezra was originally comprised of four founding members: Kevin Griffin (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Tom Drummond (bass guitar, backing vocals), Joel Rundell (lead guitar), and Cary Bonnecaze (drums). The current lineup includes Griffin, Drummond, James Arthur Payne Jr. (guitar, keyboard), and Michael Jerome (drums, backing vocals).
The band has released nine studio albums and is best known for their 1993 multi-platinum album Deluxe and the 1995 single “Good,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart on April 29, staying in the top spot for five total weeks (it peaked at No. 30 on the Hot 100). Their fifth studio album, Closer, was released on Aug. 7, 2001.
Kicking off on Nov. 5 in Minneapolis, Minn., the band is hitting Madison and Milwaukee, Wis. on Nov. 6 and 7, and Chicago, Ill. on Nov. 8. After taking a week-long break from the stage, they’re slated to head down to Texas, where they’ll play across the Lone Star State in San Antonio on Nov. 19, Houston on Nov. 20, and Dallas on Nov. 21.
For now, there’s no word on whether the limited tour will be extended with more dates and locations added. Tickets are available online starting on Friday, Aug. 7.
