Don’t miss any armor locations in Beast of Reincarnation, as they can offer better defense and higher resistance against unfriendly golems and bothersome Nushi. While there’s only one armor slot in Beast of Reincarnation, which means you won’t be fussing over greaves, gloves, helmets, and the like, wearing the right type of body armor can grant you a useful advantage in battle.
In order of progression, here’s where to find armor locations in Beast of Reincarnation.
Update (Aug. 5): We’ve updated this guide to include all armor locations.
All armor locations in Beast of Reincarnation
Almost every armor piece in Beast of Reincarnation has a defense stat, some elemental resistance, and a number of spirit stone slots. Spirit stones add additional passive effects to your armor, such as better attack power, more vigor, or extra HP recovery. Take note of the armor’s enemy awareness stat, too, as this shows how easily enemies will detect your presence.
While you start the game with the Light Gambeson armor (it’s automatically equipped upon entering the Ogouchi Buffer Zone), every new armor set you find should be better than the previous one. So, as you progress through Beast of Reincarnation‘s linear story, make sure you’ve always got the latest armor equipped. Starting with the Ogouchi Buffer Zone armor location, here’s where to find them.

Chain Mail |
The first armor location is found at the heart of the Ogouchi Buffer Zone. It’s in the strongbox on the Cliff-Facing Tower, next to the campsite. Be careful not to miss this one, as, despite the high enemy awareness, it’s a huge upgrade compared to the Light Gambeson. |
Thick Cuirass |
Start at the Tunnel Ruins: Interior campsite in the northern part of the Ancient Civilization Zone. Drop down and enter the tunnel with the green light, leading northeast, to find the strongbox. If this is your first visit, you must defeat the large red golem first. |
Garb of Tranquility |
Starting from the Ruins Slope: Approach campsite at the heart of the Ancient Civilization Zone, take the path to the northeast. It’s the path that leads toward the final Nushi lair on this map. Enter the large, rusty pipe on your right side to find the armor. |
Insulating Mail |
Starting from the Mountain Village: Entrance campsite on The Great Wall Terraces map, go west. The armor is in one of the last shacks, on the left side. Enter the one adorned with ivy and equipped with a clothesline. |
Floral Wraps |
It’s right next to the Old Sagami Colony: Approach campsite in the northernmost part of The Great Wall Terraces map. This is the local Nushi’s final lair — you’ll reach it after using the control panel and crossing the large broken bridge to the north. |
Leather Garb |
The Leather Garb is found at the heart of the Pilgrim’s Zone map, in a box next to the Cave Depths campsite. In case you missed this waypoint, find the Cave Entrance on the east side of the map, then follow the main road through the caves. Shortly after passing the Cave Interior camp, take the elevator upward. |
Scale Coat |
You’ll encounter this armor location shortly after entering the Matsukawa Zone. Walk north to the Ruins: Approach campsite, where you’ll find the Scale Coat in a strongbox next to the fire. |
Mirror Guard |
Follow the main path through the Matsukawa Zone, which leads to a large building with a rotating cylinder at its heart. Climb to the cylinder’s first floor (one level above the entrance), then take the narrow bridge to the southwest, where you’ll find the Library Hall campsite. Enter the library, hug the left wall, and it’ll lead you to a temple-like building with an elite enemy guarding a strongbox. The Mirror Guard armor is inside this box. |
Dance Attire |
This armor is found about halfway through the Fuji Frontier Zone. Starting from the Collapsed Pipes: Approach campsite, follow the path north through the cave. After exiting the cave, directly behind the final wooden wall, you will see a Wandering Merchant next to a strongbox. The Dance Attire is inside this strongbox. |
Amber Breastplate |
At the start of the Giant Tree Zone, exit the Ooi Colony and jump onto one of the yellow cable cars moving north. When the cable car turns around, jump off. See the strongbox next to the containers? This is where you’ll find the Amber Breastplate. This armor location is also very close to the Giant Tree: Root Depths campfire. |
Silver Cuirass |
The Silver Cuirass is hidden in the northern part of the Giant Tree Zone. The nearest campsite is Cableway Line 2: Terminal Stop. If you haven’t been there yet, start at Cableway Line 0: Base Station, walk upstairs, speak with the golem, and take Line 1 toward the north. Walk north until you see the Cableway Line 2: Peak A Campsite. There, take the cable car toward the northwest, and when you hit the next stop, continue walking northwest, across the broken bridge with the malefacts. At the Cableway Line 2: Checkpoint campsite, take the cable car to the south, where you’ll arrive at Cableway Line 2: Terminal Stop. Directly southwest of this campsite, you’ll see a large tree root that looks like a natural bridge. At the top of this root, you’ll find the Silver Cuirass armor. |
Ornate Robe |
Enter the massive circular building in the northern Crater Zone and follow the main road for a while. At the top of the building, next to the control panel, you’ll find a strongbox containing the Ornate Robe. You’ll reach it shortly after passing the Lake Base: Interior campsite. |
God Tree Guard |
Shortly after you arrive in The Capital, you’ll find this armor at the bottom of a staircase. It’s next to the Sewage Works: Ingress campsite. |
