The 9 Best Bags for Every Type of Disney Park Day

After taking multiple trips to Disney Parks this year as a travel editor, I’ve learned that the bag you carry can completely make or break your trip. Between Orlando heat, Paris chill, and logging over 20,000 steps a day, having the right bag for the occasion is key. On full-blown ride days packed with Lightning Lanes, bringing a backpack you can stash in a locker makes total sense, but a park-hopping day or seasonal after-hours event calls for something much lighter—you want just the right amount of bag without weighing you down. After testing all kinds of styles—from slings to backpacks—these nine winning bags stood out as lightweight, comfortable, surprisingly roomy, and budget-friendly.

Vera Bradley Springbrook Sling Crossbody

Vera Bradley

Sitting right under my arm and holding all my essentials, this lightweight Vera Bradley sling is my top pick for typical park days. For me, the perfect bag is total second nature: easy to tuck to your side on rides and effortless to grab things from on the go. The only small drawback is the lack of a water bottle holder, but I easily loop my bottle handle around the strap if necessary—or just stick to my usual Joffrey’s cold brew!

Calpak Luka Crescent Bag

Calpak

For the Disney park-goer who loves coordinating outfits, this pearlescent pink crossbody from Calpak is ideal for matching any Minnie, Daisy or Disney Princess-inspired look. While it’s on the smaller side—meaning you’ll have to stick to the essentials—Calpak’s signature puffy material and reinforced strap make it ridiculously comfortable to carry.

Securtex Jet Set Anti-Theft Crescent Sling

Baggallini

Baggallini truly thought of everything with its anti-theft collection—I love this bag. Thanks to its slim, streamlined design, it sits flat against your body (and can even be worn under a layer) so it never feels bulky during long park days. Plus, built-in features like slash-resistant material, locking zippers, RFID protection, cut-resistant straps, and a hidden AirTag pocket give you total peace of mind when your head is buried in your phone booking Lightning Lanes and dining reservations.

Transit Quilted Sling Bag

Quince

On rope-drop-to-fireworks days—or whenever you’re carrying gear for the whole squad—this ultra-roomy oversized sling from Quince is a total life-saver. With an exterior pocket, a spacious interior compartment, and a secure back zip pocket, you’ve got plenty of space for the essentials plus a poncho, windbreaker, or souvenir (which I almost always end up with by mid-afternoon). You can easily tuck in sunscreen, a water bottle, sunglasses, and a hat, too. Best of all, it’s water-repellent, so you can hop on splashy rides without worrying about your phone getting soaked.

Vera Bradley Disney Lorman Sling Backpack

In my book, Vera Bradley can do no wrong when it comes to comfortable design, and this Disney collab is easily the cutest over-the-shoulder sling in just the right size. With two roomy compartments, it easily holds a “bus AC layer”—as I like to call it—plus a wallet, phone, water bottle, hat, and sunglasses. It sits snugly in the front or back and stays super comfortable through long, hot afternoons waiting in standby lines.

The Béis Disney Compactible Backpack in Plaid

Béis

Full disclosure: I haven’t tested this one in the parks yet since it’s a brand-new Béis x Disney release, but it’s high on my wishlist. At just $68 from travel brand Béis, this plaid 2-in-1 design starts as a sleek crossbody with two compartments, then expands into a full backpack when you inevitably leave World of Disney with a haul. With its autumn vibe, it’s the ultimate bag for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or a day around EPCOT’s Food & Wine.

The North Face Women’s Isabella Sling

This one is a lifesaver when you need space for an extra layer, a couple of power banks, or even a small iPad. Its dual compartments hold a ton without feeling bulky or awkward against your body. The padded strap does a great job distributing weight across your chest so heavier loads won’t weigh one side down. Overall, it’s just a great-looking bag—and right now, it’s under $40 on Amazon.

Transit Quilted Phone Crossbody

If you’re a Disney Vacation Club member with the luxury of popping in for a quick park-hop or special events like Moonlight Magic, you can leave your heavy gear back at the villa. This sleek crossbody is like your favorite puffer jacket turned into a bag—lightweight, compact, and super functional. It carries just enough room for the absolute basics without weighing you down, featuring a secure zippered compartment to keep your phone safe and an adjustable strap for hands-free fun.
