Looking for the perfect way to end the summer in Montreal? If you want to visit lush flower fields with hundreds of thousands of blooms, this farm near Montreal needs to be part of your end-of-the-season plans.

Just a quick road trip from Montreal, you can visit a flower farm with a field of sunflowers as far as the eye can see, complete with photo-ops and postcard-worthy views that’ll make you feel like you’ve walked right into a storybook.

Located in the Monterégie region, La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac is a family farm known for its fresh fruit and flower experiences, offering tons to see and explore.

Starting August 20, visitors to the farm can enjoy a field of countless sunflowers stretching out to the horizon, with cute photo stations and whimsy everywhere you look, during the farm’s Sunflowers in Bloom event.

During the event, visitors can walk through sunflower fields filled with more than 250,000 blooms.

La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac also redesigns its fields each year, so each visit is unique, with new additions such as photo booths, specially designed decor, and new experiences.

Visitors can stroll through magnificent fields of blooming sunflowers, enjoy stunning photo spots, and discover an immersive experience in nature.

In addition to enjoying the farm’s sunflower field, visitors can explore the FestiFleurs route.

Usually open only until early August, the FestiFleurs route offers the chance to wander through fields of more than 200 varieties of flowers and enjoy the farm’s iconic heart arch and staircase lined with blooms.

You can also take home your own perfect bouquet. In the pick-your-own area of the farm, you can choose from a variety of sunflowers and other blooms, all ready to be picked, or fill up a basket with some delicious strawberries.

If you get hungry during your visit, you can also picnic in the fields. The farm offers several picnic areas with wooden tables on the grounds. Visitors are welcome to bring their own blankets and picnic directly in the middle of our flower fields.

The farm also offers FestiLunch, its on-site restaurant, where you can find a variety of grilled bites, as well as smoothies, donuts, popcorn, soft drinks, and more.

Your pooch can even join in on the fun — La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac allows dogs at its Sunflowers weekend event, provided that they are on a 6-foot leash. Don’t forget to bring bags to pick up after your furry friend.

The fun can even continue into the night. Visitors with a day ticket to the farm are welcome to stay on-site to enjoy a sunset and fireworks evening, which runs until 10 p.m. on certain dates and makes for a great way to end the night.

Tickets to La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac’s Sunflowers in Bloom event start at $19.70 per adult for general admission to the fields. The ticket also includes access to a family play area, a corn maze, and various relaxation areas on the site.

Until September 7, tickets to the Sunflowers in Bloom event also give visitors access to the FestiFleurs trail.
