And just like that, August has come to an end! As sad as we are, we can’t let it keep us from enjoying a weekend out in the sun. Sunny skies, warm weather and the best city vibes. We’re here for it. Luckily for us, there are tons of things to do in Toronto this weekend that will keep us outdoors.

The annual festival is back this summer, and it’s taking over Nathan Phillips Square for a weekend of celebration. Good eats, lively music and great vibes.

Time: Friday from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m.

The Toronto Country Fest has been extended until Aug. 30. That means you have more time to enjoy an array of live entertainment, western-inspired experiences, and family-friendly activities in The Distillery District.

Girl Dinners are not just exclusive to your homes; it’s now at Chotto Matte Toronto. We’re talking Chotto Caesar Salad, Truffled Yuca Fries, Chotto Matte’s signature Dragon Roll, and the choice between three martini favourites: Dirty Nikkei Martini, Lychee Lover Martini, or classic Espresso Martini.

Sunset Salsa has taken over The Well this month. For the next few Saturdays (Sept. 12 included), the dancing event will offer 45-minute salsa lessons from a different instructor each week. It starts at 4 p.m., and then DJs will take over until 9 p.m. Think salsa, bachata, and cha-cha music. Olé Mocktails and cocktails will be available for sampling and purchase at the Pier Bar, along with food from Gus Tacos.

Veuve Clicquot Sun Club at KOST is part of an exclusive collection of pop-up terraces located in dream destinations all over the world.

Fans of all things comics, anime, horror, gaming and the like will take over the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this weekend.

When: Thursday, Aug. 27 to Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026
Time: Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. (Special Preview at 2 p.m. for VIP, Ultimate Fan, or 4-Day pass holders), Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Open Air returns to Leslie Lookout Park on Aug. 29 and 30 for two full days of free music, visual art, and community programming on Toronto’s waterfront. The women-led festival will feature a lineup from Toronto’s underground electronic music scene, along with visual artists, live art, workshops, and vendors.

Nothing sounds better than chowing down on mouthwatering eats and testing out all the midway rides while taking in all the CNE vibes. We’re just a day away from its grand opening, and we couldn’t be more excited! Will you be going to the CNE this year?

Toronto’s The Bentway is back to business, opening up its 200-metre skating trail for another season of roller skating under the Gardiner.

Not only will you be able to enjoy some skating action this summer, but you will also be able to take part in a series of community-driven events. These include skate parties, beginner lessons, art workshops, family programming, and the launch of a brand-new after-school program for young city-builders.

A pink double-decker bus is rolling through the streets of Toronto, bringing Canada’s first afternoon tea experience served in motion.

Though we’ve seen our fair share of jaw-dropping, questionable, and even shocking scenes in the city, there’s nothing quite like High Sociétéa.
