More news from the Heated Rivalry camp ahead of the second season of the hit Canadian TV as an iconic Canadian actor and others are joining the cast.
The previously announced cast includes Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Robert Naylor, Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Edvin Ryding, François Arnaud, Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Robbie G.K., Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, Kamilla Kowal, Emily Hampshire, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka.
Heated Rivalry, the Bell Media-owned Crave series, became a global sensation following its six-episode debut season after HBO picked up the show for U.S. and international audiences, turning its three leading stars—B.C.-born Hudson Williams, American actor Connor Storrie and Quebec’s François Arnaud—into breakout names.
Ukrainian-American supermodel turned actor Milla Jovovich, star of the Resident Evil franchise and Luc Besson’s sci-fi classic The Fifth Element, will join the cast this season. She will portray Dr. Galina Molchalina in the new season.
Jovovich is no stranger to the city of Toronto where Heated Rivalry is filming, as a number of the Resident Evil films were also shot here.
And, of course, Paul Gross is well-known to Canadian audiences for his starring role in the iconic series Due South as well as movies such as Men With Brooms and Passchendaele. Gross will take on the role of Commissioner Roger Crowell.
Also joining the cast as Coach Weibe is Kevin Zegers.
