’70s Rock Legends Announce 2027 ‘Unplugged’ Tour Dates With Special Guest

Foreigner has announced a new acoustic tour for 2027.

Spanning four dates in April, one of the biggest bands in rock music will bring an unplugged version of their biggest hits to Europe, with shows set in some of the most iconic venues.

The “Foreigner Unplugged” tour will open at Dublin 3Olympia Theatre on Monday, April 12, before hitting London Palladium on Wednesday, April 15.

On Friday, April 16, there will be a show at Paris L’Olympia, followed by one in Vienna Globe Wien on April 18.

Billy Lockett will serve as a supporting guest.

Tickets will be on sale to the general public at 10 am on Wednesday, Sep. 9, with a fan pre-sale starting Monday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. local time.

The lineup will feature a quartet with Luis Carlos Maldonado on vocals, Jeff Pilson on bass/keyboards, Bruce Watson on guitar and Michael Bluestein on the keyboards.

Longtime frontman Kelly Hansen stepped away from Foreigner’s touring lineup in 2025 after 20 years with the band, replaced by Maldonado, who was tasked with leading the band forward. Founding guitarist Mick Jones, the only continuous original member, stopped touring around 2022 but remains involved behind the scenes following his Parkinson’s diagnosis.

The unplugged tour is an up-close way to see the legendary band as you’ve never seen them before. Fans can expect acoustic, stripped-down versions of the group’s biggest hits that spanned the ’70s and ’80s, like “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Cold as Ice.”

Foreigner has a total of 9 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, with a catalog of timeless hits like “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Double Vision,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Urgent.”

“I Want to Know What Love Is” not only hit No. 1 in both the U.S. and U.K., but it has since surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The icons are fresh off a successful co-headlining tour with fellow legends Lynyrd Skynyrd called Double Trouble, but they’re not taking too much time away from the stage.

In addition to the four acoustic shows, the ’70s-era rock superstars also announced a fall U.S. tour spanning 30 shows, which will begin Sept. 16 in Las Vegas and conclude on Feb. 21 in Miami.

As Parade previously reported, the tour is timed to coincide with an expanded reissue of their 1979 album Head Games in October.

And the timing couldn’t be more perfect, as the band—which was formed in 1976 in New York City by Jones, alongside fellow Briton Ian McDonald and American vocalist Lou Gramm—will also be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, making the shows all the more special for fans.
