5 Ontario fall festivals to add to your autumn bucket list

Fall in Ontario doesn’t last nearly long enough, so you might as well make the most of it while you can. And the best way to do it? With one of the many fall-themed festivals taking over Ontario for the next few weeks.

Across the province, communities are celebrating the season with festivals filled with autumn colours, local vendors, live entertainment, seasonal treats and plenty of reasons to spend a crisp fall day outdoors. Hoodies, sweats, Uggs, and layers on layers – fall season is here, and we’re embracing it.

If you’re looking for an excuse to plan a weekend outing, here are five fall festivals in Ontario worth checking out this season.

According to Ontario Parks, the Friends of Bronte Creek Park are planning two days of demonstrations and activities. These include:

• Pick your own pumpkins (donation)
• Seasonal refreshments and food ($)
• Tour the 124-year-old farmhouse
• Apple Cider pressing demonstrations
• Make a souvenir using a four-foot-long crosscut saw
• Tour the Park on a tractor-drawn wagon ride.
• Heritage demonstrations

When: Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Bronte Creek Provincial Park — 1219 Burloak Dr., Oakville, Ont.
Cost: $18.58+

Ready for some fun? Get in on the action with a thrilling tractor pull and demolition derby, live entertainment, a petting zoo, and even face painting. Of course, expect some of the most delicious eats from a handful of vendors.

Tickets are available for purchase! There’s free admission on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, as long as you bring a donation of a non-perishable food item.

Time: Friday from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Need Thanksgiving plans? Make your way to the Woodbridge Fairgrounds for some fun at the Woodbridge Fall Fair. Expect a petting zoo, midway carnival rides, and even pumpkin carving.

When: Saturday, Oct. 10 to Monday, Oct. 12, 2026
Time: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thanksgiving Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 100 Porter Ave., Woodbridge, Ont.
Cost: TBD

The ultimate fall festival is taking over Downsview Park over Thanksgiving weekend. Families will have the chance to enjoy:

• Pumpkin Patch
• Outdoor event
• Unlimited jumping castles
• Unlimited midway rides
• Inflatable corn maze
• Autumn-themed photo ops
• Stage shows and entertainment
• Carnival games with prizes
• Rock wall and spider jump

The month of October is going to be a busy one for Forsythe Family Farms. The October Pumpkin Festival will bring a thrilling family experience, from mazes and pumpkin picking to apple cider pressing and live music.

When: Saturdays and Sundays (including Thanksgiving Monday), throughout October 2026
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Forsythe Family Farms — 1025 Cragg Rd., Greenbank/Uxbridge, Ont.
Cost: $16
