An area rug can make a room feel more pulled together, adding pattern, texture, and a softer place to land your feet. But finding a large rug that looks good and doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars isn’t always easy. Luckily, Walmart has an $85 option that gives living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, and offices a stylish update for less.

The Berthmeer Area Rug at Walmart is currently on sale for $85, down from $148 for the 8-by-10-foot size. It features a modern checkered pattern and comes in 10 color combinations, including black and beige, gray and beige, and multicolor designs.

Made from polyester, this 8-by-10-foot area rug has a 0.2-inch low pile height, making it a practical choice for busy areas of the home. The low-profile design is easy to walk across, while the non-slip sponge and silica gel backing is designed to help keep it in place underfoot. It’s also pet-friendly, making it a fitting choice for households with furry friends. This rug is machine washable, so you can easily freshen it up after spills, dirt, or everyday messes.

Finding the right size for your room is easy, with options ranging from 2-by-3 feet to 10-by-14 feet in both rectangular and round shapes. Choose a smaller size for a bedroom or entryway, or go larger to anchor a living room or dining area.

The rug has earned positive reviews for its soft feel. One shopper who purchased the green and beige color called it “so soft,” while another said, “This rug is amazing” and praised how “soft and comfortable” it was. A third reviewer highlighted its “thick plush material” and said they would “definitely recommend” it to another person to buy.
