A beachside museum in Vancouver is turning into a Sunday yoga spot

2 March 20262 Mins Read

If community yoga sessions are your thing, this is definitely a series you’ll want on your radar this March and April. On select Sundays in the coming weeks, the Museum of Vancouver is hosting pop-up yoga, with admission to the museum’s exhibits and galleries included in the ticket price.

With stunning views of Vanier Park, English Bay, and the North Shore,

The first session took place on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, and the next one kicks off at the end of this week.

Led by instructors Linh Jiang and Angela Gmeinweser, the Hatha yoga sessions offer participants a slower-paced style of yoga that focuses on posture and breathing techniques, making it perfect for beginners or anyone in need of a restorative hour.

Looking for more to explore after unwinding on the yoga mat? The Vanier Park Pass gets you access to all three Vanier Park museums, including the Museum of Vancouver, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

With each just steps away from the others and right by the beach, it saves you money to visit all three. Just like that, your Sunday morning yoga just turned into a full day of activities.

Note that yoga participants must bring their own mats to the museum, as mats will not be provided.

Tickets are available for $25 a pop for the following dates:

  • Sunday, March 8, 2026
  • Sunday, March 22, 2026
  • Sunday, April 5, 2026
  • Sunday, April 19, 2026

Mark your calendars!

When: March 8 and 22, April 5 and 19, 2026
Time: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Where: 1100 Chestnut St.
Cost: $25 per person
