A Calgary street festival with over 200 vendors is taking over the city’s oldest neighbourhood

8 July 20263 Mins Read

Inglewood is about to come alive as one of Calgary’s favourite summer festivals returns to the streets. Inglewood Sunfest is taking over Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood with local vendors, live entertainment, food, and more.

Known for its historic charm, creative spirit, and walkable streets lined with local businesses, Inglewood already has plenty of personality, but Sunfest takes it to a whole new level. The annual celebration brings the neighbourhood together for a summer day of exploring and connecting with the community.

A summer celebration in Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood

Inglewood Sunfest brings together more than 200 vendors showcasing everything from handmade goods and artwork to locally made products, crafts, and more. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse, support local creators, and discover something new while taking in the city’s lively atmosphere.

Beyond the shopping, the streets come alive with entertainment for all ages. You can catch performances from groups like Cirque En L’air, bringing aerial arts, acrobatics, and circus-style entertainment to the festival, along with plenty of live music, dance, theatre, and more.

The festival also features a family-friendly beer garden, giving you a chance to take a break from exploring and enjoy the summer sun with a cool drink in hand. The beer garden will feature beer on tap from Village Brewery, along with coolers, sangria, and other refreshing options to sip while enjoying the entertainment. And if you get hungry, there will be plenty of on-site food vendors, making it easy to spend the entire day at the festival without leaving the action.

Plan your visit

Inglewood Sunfest takes place on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. along 9th Avenue SE between 11th and 14th Street. The festival is completely free to attend, and it’s recommended that you arrive early, as nearby parking can fill up quickly.

So grab your friends, put on your comfiest walking shoes, and get ready to experience why Inglewood remains one of Calgary’s most iconic neighbourhoods. With local vendors, live entertainment and plenty happening around every corner, Sunfest is the perfect summer outing to add to your calendar.

When: Saturday, July 25, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 9th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free
