Pip Fitz-Amobi is officially back on the case! Netflix, the BBC, and ZDFneo have just dropped our very first look at the highly anticipated second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, confirmed for release sometime in 2026 (sources have previously hinted at a Summer return).
Based on the bestselling YA novels by Holly Jackson, the first season was a massive smash hit when it premiered in the summer of 2024. Not only did it debut at #1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (English) list, but it also sent Jackson’s novel right back to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list. Now, Pip and her friends are gearing up for another dark, twisty mystery. The show picked up an official renewal in November 2024 with filming throughout 2025.
Thanks to a fresh batch of newly released images, we have a clear look at exactly who is returning to the sleepy town of Little Kilton for Season 2—and who is joining the fold.
Who is in the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 First Looks?
As expected, the brand-new photos confirm the return of our core investigative duo and their tight-knit friend group. Based on the photo captions, here is who you can spot in the first-look images:
- Emma Myers returns as our intrepid teen sleuth, Pip Fitz-Amobi.
- Zain Iqbal is back as Ravi Singh.
- Asha Banks returns as Pip’s best friend, Cara Ward.
- Yali Topol Margalith is back as Lauren Gibson.
- Jude Morgan-Collie returns as Connor Reynolds.
- Henry Ashton is back as the disgraced Max Hastings.
New Faces in Season 2
The photo captions also reveal a brand-new addition to the core friend group: Freddie England, who will be playing Robin Hastings.
According to the official synopsis, Robin is Max Hastings’ cousin. In a move that is sure to cause major tension within the group, Robin starts dating Lauren, making him a “controversial new member of their friendship group.”
While not pictured in the first look images, a press release also confirms that Eden H Davies will play Jamie, Connor’s brother.
What is Season 2 about?
Produced by Moonage Pictures, Season 2 will pick up the pieces following the explosive finale of the Andie Bell case. According to the official logline, “After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him.”
With Jamie missing and the clock ticking, Pip, Ravi, Cara, Lauren, and Connor must reunite to unravel a whole new web of secrets, leads, and mysteries, all while Pip prepares to face Max in court.
As mentioned, no confirmed release date yet beyond a 2026 release window, which we already knew when the show was renewed and further confirmed during Next on Netflix. We have even more news on A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, but we have to remain tight-lipped for the moment. Keep your eyes peeled.
As with the first season, international distribution is slightly split. Netflix will premiere the series globally, excluding the UK (where it airs exclusively on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Three), Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (where it airs exclusively on ZDFneo), and Australia (where it will stream on Stan).
