Ontario travel: on the up. Picking where to go: I got you covered. Wander the Resort is one of the most gorgeous (in my humble opinion) resorts in Ontario, and for just about a year, it has had an awesome new addition: a Nordic spa.
Let’s start with the rooms and cabins.
Tucked away in Prince Edward County, this getaway is the perfect mix of modern and rustic with European-style kitchens, gorgeous linens, fireplaces, and plenty of windows for natural sunlight.
The space has ten cabins, each able to sleep up to six guests. Four of the cabins are lakeside, while the other six are poolside – take your pick.
Each cabin has heated floors for chilly nights and air conditioning for warm days. There are also private outdoor dining spaces, full kitchens, and Bluetooth speakers for everyone to take advantage of.
Hungry? Dining options are available on-site at Wander the Resort, such as a restaurant called Gather. According to Wander, the restaurant is “inspired by the nostalgia of fireside gatherings that foster shared experiences.” Menu highlights include hand-cut beef tartare, mushroom risotto, smoked octopus, crispy pork belly, beef short ribs, and a slew of hand-crafted cocktails.
You can grab a quick bite and sip on a few more beverages over at Beach Club! The lakeside lounge has everything you need for a day by the water: king bed loungers with umbrellas, lawn games, and water sport rentals.
Now, for the spa.
Wander the Spa is Ontario’s first lakefront Nordic Spa, a spot for all things tranquillity and relaxation. Some of the features and experiences guests can immerse themselves in are:
- The cold plunge
- Hot tubs
- A waterfall pool
- A relaxation pool
- A steam room
- A traditional Finnish sauna
- A lakefront sauna
- A scrub room
- Massage and Reiki treatments
- Aufguss sauna rituals
Your summer bucket list just got a little longer.
