A pick-your-own flower fest is blooming near Montreal and it’ll transport you to Amsterdam

4 June 20252 Mins Read

If you’re looking for a summer day trip from Montreal that’s equal parts relaxing and Instagram-worthy, a dreamy flower festival less than an hour away might be just the thing.

La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac, a picturesque farm in the Montérégie region, recently confirmed that it’s bringing back its beloved FestiFleurs event for 2025 — and this year’s edition looks more magical than ever.

The festival spans four weekends: July 18 to 20, July 25 to 27, August 1 to 3, and August 7 to 10, with opening hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except Saturdays and select evenings when the fields stay open until 10 p.m. for sunset and campfire nights).

FestiFleurs lets visitors roam through massive flower fields filled with over 200 varieties — from zinnias to dahlias — and create their own bouquets in the on-site picking area. You’ll be handed shears and a jar, and the rest is up to you. It’s DIY bliss for anyone who loves flowers, nature, or simply a good photo op. There are also dedicated photo zones with heart-shaped arches and flower swings to really capture the moment.

While this year’s prices haven’t been released yet, last year saw tickets starting at $18 for adults and $12 for kids, with package deals that included bouquet jars ranging from small to giant (up to 25 flowers). Entry includes access to the flower fields, a play zone for kids, and a corn maze.

If flowers are not really your thing, the farm offers strawberry picking during the same weekends. Baskets can be purchased on site, and visitors are welcome to pick their own fresh berries straight from the field.

Food is a big part of the experience, too. The farm’s “FestiLunch” setup serves grilled meals made with ingredients grown on-site, plus treats like slushies, donuts, and smoothies. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic (just no outside alcohol).

And if you can’t make it for FestiFleurs, the farm’s sunflower event, Tournesols en fleurs, runs from August 14 to September 1 — same dreamy fields, just painted yellow.

Tickets are not available just yet, but once they are, they’ll be available for purchase at labelledecoteaudulac.com.
